  1. You never fail to amaze me No really though, I am glad that MS is doing quite a bit to stop the modding and things like Gameshark. I don't understand the concept of having a game and then wanting to cheat through it just to finish it. That's just me. and the only advantage I see to modding an Xbox would be it disables the Macro encoding so you can copy a DVD to a video tape. And, I don't see that as being worth it. I am sure Sony just loves the fact that the PS/PS2 can be modded You are right NE146, they are switchable and in reality, MS won't be able to stop it anyways. I am really more for their stance on cheat devices, not so much the modding. But even with wahtever they try to do, it'll still happen
  2. Yea I do. It wasn't too expensive. I got a few games for the PS2 at KB for $15 and returned them to Wal Mart for $50 a piece
  3. Man, there are some big time gamers here ! I like that. Here's mine. I have owned almost all of them since they were new and all are boxed and complete. Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar & CD Intellivision Colecovision Commodore 64 TurboGrafx & CD Turbo Duo Turbo Express Super Grafx Sega Genesis 1 Sega Genesis 2 + 32x and CD Sega Genesis 3 Sega Saturn Sega Dreamcast (3) - 1 Black Sports Ed Nintendo NES top loader Super Nintendo Nintendo 64 Nintendo Gamecube Neo Geo PS PS2 Xbox (3)
  4. I really didn't think it was that difficult. It was so much fun that I didn't care if I had to replay a certain part maybe 10 times. I mean, it's better thaen spending $50 on something you're done with in 2 hours.
  5. DTR is great. Graphics are kinda so so on the Xbox, but I guess it's because it was originally made for the PS2. It takes about 8 hours to get thru and the disarms are great. I highly recommend it.
  6. Well, I for one am happy about MS checking for mods. Not only does it make everyone's online gaming better, I have yet to find anything that won't play in my Xbox - copy or not.
  7. Macgurl really got me excited by the topic......I had soooo much to say But in any case, at least you home has been greatly improved. These would be my suggestions: DTR Max Payne Unreal Mech Assault Splinter Cell SERIOUS SAM - a MUST have Both 007's Shenmue 2 Oddworld - it's cheap Hitman 2 Ghost Recon I know there's a few more that I can't recall right now. I don't care much for fighters or sports so I can't say much there. Of course MK:DA is so beautifully violent that it is a good choice. Maybe you and Sauron should just sell your PS2 and get an XBox for yourselves.......Halo, Unreal, Serious Sam, Mech Assault - all multiplayer and system link
  8. well, I guess it's settled then.........Cupkilla is KING !!
  9. Well, I meant I wouldn't wanna take him down because, well......I know I couldn't Yea, I'd like to hook up sometime as soon as I buy my own copy
  10. Agreed ! Wouldn't wanna try to take down the master
  11. I was big time disapointed in TS2. Easy, short, unchallenging. Now, if you are looking for a serious good time, Serious Sam is the way to go. the game is long - I had over 30hrs. in it before I beat it. You can play 16 player Co-Op. Yea you read that right - 2 people is the max you can have on one Xbox so...........the multiplayer is awesome ! It is kinda like Duke, but sweet as hell. I just picked up a second copy so I can system link
  12. I wanted to know if anyone who lives by a blockbuster video would be able to pick up a copy of the Outlaw Golf christmas Edition game for me. All of the BBVs' around here closed. If anyone can help, let me know.
  13. everyone is out of it but go to Software ETC. the one's here will still take preorders for $50 down. Capcom is only shipping for what stores preorder. Maybe because the greedy bastards(Capcom) are selling them on Ebay.........Oh and the price, who cares. 100% worth dumping a PS2 to get
  14. I know a SB thread was started a few days ago, but after playing it for a while........Well, I gotta say - it is one of the coolest games I have ever experienced. The graphics are extremely cool - all drab and dull looking, dust flying everywhere - big time realistic. The controls do seem overwhelming at first but you always have time to do what you need to and you don't use every button all the time. And the controls don't suck - ever. You can't communicate with anyone until you beat a few missions and you have to dial in the frequency until you hear the chatter. You can listen to music thru a boombox you can buy and if you find tapes laying around. You can clean your windshield, drop a fuel tank to lighten the load, pick up stuff, snipe, zoom, destroy just about anything, tip over if you turn too quick, and you do have to do a startup sequence for every mission. You can overheat and it'll shut down, extinguish fires in the cockpit, Flip switches, use the ignition, close the canopy, shift gears, and EJECT......amazing. The display is sweet too because another screen shows your environment from 4 different perspectives and there's a HUD that has 4 differend configurations too. All of the buttons on the controller light up. Whats cool is you can request items but you may be denied and have to try to get them some other time. And if you have a killer 5:1 surround.....be prepared ! If you get a chance to play it, even if you don't like games like this, go for it. It is unlike anything ever on any console.
  15. It happens all the time. I get more nasty emails after I win an auction though Hell, if ya woulda thought of it, you should've emailed him after he got shitty and told him"thanks for the genorous offer, but I've agreed to sell it to someone else for $1000.00. Thanks anyways." That woulda wrinkled his panties even more
  16. I think you said the right thing. I woulda just replied "no". But then again, I will end auctions early. I know Ebay doesn't like people to sell outside or end them early but, ya know, sometimes I need the $$$ right now and I can't see paying more $$ for buy it now. Or if the person is genuine from the start then I don't mind. Unless you are scamming people all the time Ebay doesn't do much about anything. They don't wanna lose any $$$$
  17. Man, I remember buying this new at Woolco......The hours I spent playing this game I remember holding the stick to the left and almost redlining so when the light was green, just let go of the stick and shift like hell. You can easily pick up a second or more by doing that.
  18. Thunderbird wrote: Damn, I thought I was just making a statement....silly me.....
  19. well, it won't be me paying that much so it doesn't matter to me at all.
  20. I don't mind the emails but goatari used to be more reasonable with prices. I got my Jag 10 games, a/v cable, and cd add on for $225 from them about 2 yrs ago. They weren't crappy games either. Now, the prices are way too high.
  21. Steel Battalions blows me away. The whole concept, how it's executed, the realism....amazing. The graphics are probably up there with Splinter Cell. And can't forget the kick ass controller. Halo 2 does look good and I have no doubt that it will make Halo look dated. And Doom....
