  1. Well, I have both Metroid and Splinter Cell. Splitter Cell is pretty much the best looking game I've seen on any console. Metroid looks great too, but in a different way. The GC has outstanding graphics on most games but I feel the Xbox does too. No matter what, they both do a great job of proving just how shitty the PS2 really was, is, and will be. The PS2 is a much better example of people being suckered.........
  2. Well, there's only a few things that can be wrong. 1st, make sure the wires are connected to the board inside the controller and connected well.2nd, check the end to make sure the metal pins are all there - sometimes they will pull out and get stuck in the system port.3rd, make sure the little rubber pad on the back of the #2 button is making good contact on the board. Really, that's about all you can do. I will dig around to see if I still have some extras laying around. Let me know if any of that works.

  5. Yea, it is debatable because everyone likes different games. But, a ton of original, unique games are coming out for the XB and GC whereas the PS2 has nothing original in the foreseeable future. And as far as people only getting the XB or GC for exclusives or 1 or 2 titles, I have to disagree. They both now have good enough game libraries that can support any gamers likes. 4 things usually determine which next gen system someone will buy: 1. they are a PS2 fanboy and hate all that isn't a PS2 2. they hate MS 3. they have no $$$ for 2 new systems 4. games they like Nobody should even attempt to predict what will happen between the GC and XB. They are both great. And besides, the almighty Sony already declared the video game war was over so shouldn't we all believe that? .........
  6. Hey Macgurl, I wasn't picking on you with what I said, I was just rambling Didn't mean to offend you if I did. I was just being a smartass.

ShinRyu05 wrote: Yup, those are pretty good reasons but don't forget, the games that have come out in the past 2 months alone plus what's coming out for the foreseeable future, blows away anything that's coming for the GC and PS2. I'm looking forward to DMC 2 on the PS2, but other than that, nothing. I just bought my 1st GC game yesterday - Metroid - and I've had the GC for 8 months. The GC does have some cool stuff coming out though. And now with Live, it's looking better and better each day. Of course, MS will never be respected for the pretty much perfect job on the Xbox so far, because MS bashing is the fashionable thing. And ya know, Sony and Nintendo are much more upstanding companies - yea....right.......Hell, I woulda bought the Xbox if Apple made it. But then I guess, no one would ever make games for it
  8. The XBox dvd playback is great. You can plug in the little remote thingy in any port but I leave it in 4 just because. I have yet to have any problems with dvd playback which is just the opposite of my POS2 - I mean PS2 - where I have yet to play a movie thru without a problem.
  9. Usually at night. I'm in Ohio so I'm est. Weekends most likely all throughout the day. If you start to talk and you hear a womans voice then my girlfriends on. Her names Jen. Mess with her head a little
  10. Optimus Rhyme Play Mech assault quite a bit so look for me
  11. Xbox Live is pretty sweet. The biggest problem I see is all of the assholes that will be online.......I mean, in just 3 short days, I've encontered more than I though I would. other than that, it's cool. And I too think Xb online strategy is much better than Sonys. Sure Sonys is free now, but when 5 games come out that all have a subscription of $10 a month, it will be expensive. I think it's funny how Sony has both dial up and BB, but 50% of the games can only be used on BB. Another half ass job from Sony........And, being that MS basically told Interact if they make a cheat device for the XB, they will prevent it from being used only makes XB live better. Imagine shelling out a subscription every month for a game that losers use a gameshark on just so they can win, have more power, etc. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.........
  12. Just my 2 cents.... Devil May Cry had the absolute BEST camera out of any 3d game I have played. It never lost you, you never lost it and the best feature was when you were behind a pillar or something, the pillar would become transparent so you never had a blind spot. Most 3d games if you are behind something and move, it takes a little for the camera to adjust, but that's not the case in DMC. Proves that it can be done and should be done all the time.
  13. I don't know, KI wasn't too original or challenging. It was cool, but it got old after a short time
  14. Actually Halo is now $30 too. And it's nice to see Sony making all of the games $39.95 - maybe they finally realized 99% of the games released for the PS2 are shit and even at that price, most of them will still be overpriced for how good they are supposed to be......
  15. Well, I want one because of what liquid said: I am a G.......
  16. I don't know how the snes version was. I remember playing it when it first came out but I don't recall if it was good. UMk3 is awesome on the Saturn.
  17. I have to say mk2 was the best. I have a dedicated MK2 arcade machine and it brings back a ton of memories. I just picked up mk1 and umk3 boards for it. 3 was cool but strayed too far away from the other 2. How come nobody has mentioned MK4? fataliteis on that were awesome but that damn strafe button.......
  18. Oh yea, anyone interested in a black GC? Boxed and mint......
  19. Well, Nintendo makes many "Limited Edition" consoles. Remember the Pokemon, Donkey Kong, Toys R Us, etc....64's? Anyways, I'm with Macgurl, this is sweet. Mainly because no console has ever been that color.
  20. Oh, and for online play - Sega will support it for the rest of this year from the emails I get from them. If you do play online, plan on going with dial up - a BroadBand adapter will cost you a ton
  21. I can't really remember the serial # on The DC being important for any reason. Of course, I'd say always get the latest one that was made. I'm sure someone will post that can tell you what to look for. I have had maybe 6 or 7 different DC's, and a few of them wouldn't play all games. It was a problem with the laser being misaligned. Nope. Yes it is. There are around 250 American games and I'd say that around 70% of them are really good to outstanding. Most are pretty inexpensive. Of course if you are only interested in copies, then I guess price of games doesn't matter.
  22. I wouldn't really worry about it. I play pretty much any of my game systems on a projection big screen every day and have for about 6 yrs with no problems. I wouldn't play for more than an hour or so if there are stationary things on the screen - like the score or lives, etc....And Cupcakus is 100% right, Ataris Colecos, Intv, will disappoint you on a big screen.
