Yup any chip allows that. The only advantage to some chips is more banks to flash to or boot options. Get whichever is cheapest.

I always used Evox as the dash, but XBMC now would be fine. Evox always had the FTP server built in which was valuable for modding multiple system or sharing. The Duox and other chips can be set to boot to different dashes from the chip itself depending on how you flash the chip. If you really want to get into all of that, the SmartX is the best chip for that, you can set up multiple bios' on the chip and when you power on the system, select which bios to boot. If you aren't going to tinker around, use any chip and XBMC. Anyone looking do install a chip that hasn't done it before, you need to find which version of the system you have and flash the appropriate bios. In reality, a 1.6 system is the only one that won't boot off an older bios. And 1.6 systems are a pain in the ass for other reasons too.

Well, I'm not him but I got it. Sounds are louder than the Reach Xbox sounds, the finish is frickin awesome! Very quiet too when on and the lights are blue. The 3po controller is perfect but packed away now. The blue, green, red chrome ones are released next month so I am going to pick up a blue chrome one for this 360 so I don't use the 3po one. Cimerians will give a better review because I suck, but even so, the SW Edition is the coolest.

Duo X is a nice chip and so is the Alladin. I always preferred the SmartX but I don't even know if they are made anymore. I never bothered with softmods. Had to open the case no matter what if adding a bigger HD, soldering may have taken 5 minutes at the most, multiple boot modes, safe modes and drive swaps were worth way more to me than a softmod.

I'd say the PS3 has struggled mainly because it was more evolutionary than revolutionary. Sony played it safe with the main focus on faster processing speed, better graphics, Blu Ray, and High Def. Nintendo grabbed lots of attention because they marketed the wii very well, made it inexpensive, and back to basics fun ( not to me but who am I?). MS had the life of the console mapped out before release, was riding on the great success of Live, had intentions to make the 360 an entertainment device, keep it fresh with new dashes and features and bring in the games in a unified social environment. Sony seemed to be the only one who didn't realize the a graphics bump just won't cut it anymore. The PSP and the Vita were answers to questions that nobody asked and both were released at points when games were being played in new interfaces (phones, tablets, facebook, etc). Again, both handhelds really went for graphics more than anything. Microsoft entering gaming has been the best thing to happen to games in the last decade IMO. It obvious that Sony and Nintendo can't grasp too much beyond graphics or simplicity, and with few exceptions, haven't provided the means for games to grow. At some point, MS will shit the bed just like everyone else has and we will be discussing everything they've done wrong. Hope things turn around for Sony though, it's kinda nice having them around.

File for an extension and buy this instead!! I do think my price is cool, but I like this place and the peeps on here so I always try to work something out. A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell lol! CPU was pokin some fun of course. But I like being insulted and am bored so feel free to PM insults I think there were 2 hybrids but I can't recall. I don't consider them system exclusives because you only get enhanced graphics over playing them on a PCE. Looks like it's in my future too

Ok, snapped a few of the system when I dug it out today. Box is about a 6-7 outta 10 and the system is probably a 7ish. No scratches or scuffs but looks used. Tested flawlessly. Forgot to take pics of the games but they are all complete, discs are excellent, cases are all 8 or better. All items would be retested and more pics if someone is seriously buying. I'm thinking $400 shipped for the system and all 5 games in the lower 48 would be decent for this. PM me with questions/offers/insults. Don't like Paypal so would prefer not to use it if possible.

Hopefully my pricing is better than my spelling..... The system is boxed and complete and the system is mint. Going off of memory, I think the box is really nice. The games are: Granzort Aldynes Battle Ace 1941 Daimakaimura (Ghost n Ghouls) I'm thinking around the $400-$500 area for all of it. If I recall, the system can be modded or use a Kisado type adapter, think the video output is composite, there is a cd rom attachment available, and it does play PCE games. I think I have Street Fighter 2 for it that I can throw in. I will actually get some pics tomorrow of it and have more details. I wanted one forever and haven't touched it for a while and figured maybe someone here would like an instant complete system. Technically, there is a missing hybrid game but I never count that

I would really question if this has ever been said by any publisher. Any article I have read on the matter of digital distribution of games, I don't recall ever reading that prices would be cheaper as a point of interest. I am not arguing with you or even doubting you, but this "idea" seems to stem more from players/fans/message boards. The infrastructure alone to do digital downloads only, for the distributor, would really sponge some cash I would think, even to the point of exceeding the say $5 that retail now gets to keep. I don't understand the " gets busted" part What busting was done? Who cares if it's on the disc? You own it? Ok cool. You don't "own" the means to unlock it. I see nothing wrong here at all and it's kinda sad that game sites even use this stuff as "news". And then there's the whole don't even know if it's DLC that will need to be paid for part........
