  2. I can't be the only one who saw this thread and visualized captain falcon repairing things; Falcon Solder!
  3. I'd lol if you got solder in your eye tomorrow. The fumes irritate my eyes and the risk of jumping flux or solder isn't one I want to take, wearing goggles for soldering isn't very silly at all. I use some old welding goggles with clear lenses in, I know a good glass cutting place too where you can have any size lenses made
  4. I'll have to take some more photos I only have two out of focus photos of two of them before they were complete. I'll get some good ones for you though. I should mention that I made them from recycled bits and peices, genuine arcade joysticks, electrical buttons from heavy machiney, wires and plugs from old computers and other controllers (The frankentroller, it lives! )
  5. If I use a joystick to inflict harm does it become a woestick?

  6. If I use a joystick to inflict harm does it become a woestick?

  7. I made some old fashioned arcade-style joysticks for the 2600 with inetntion to sell them quite a while ago now but partially because I use them myself I have only gotten around to it now Firstly I am just probing for interest. If you want to buy one, pipe up and I will sell you one at the reasonable price of £30 (p&p will vary from country to country) There are four availiable. If anyone is interested I'll post some pictures and more information.
  8. On one level I like it when old consoles glitch out like this, it's a shame to see it broken however it's broken in a wonderful way
  9. These words, just like the goggles; They do nothing.
  10. Correct! The graphics only have a small part to play in how enjoyable a game is. It's really all down to the gameplay, not the graphics which we who play Atari 2600's may have noticed, is exactly what Atari games are: all game no graphics. Sidenote: alot of modern games can be reduced to space invaders when you take out the flashy graphics.
  11. I can hardly beleive no one has mentioned Mario Bros yet! You can play that two player and you can either decide to cooperate to get as far as you can, or trick each other into walking into enemies and see who gets the highest score at the end Which "Maze" game? Sears "Maze" (a.k.a. Slot Racers by Atari), or Maze Craze (a.k.a. Maze Mania by Sears)? Both are fun but I would expect a 6-year-old to have difficulty with Maze Craze. I can confirm that both small children and stupid adults have trouble with maze craze Additionally I give another recomendation for warlords too!
  12. What you acctually mean to say is I couldn't care less, saying that you could care less means that you do acctually care and could stand to care less than you already do. There are some phrases I can let past my inspection but that one is just plain stupid
  13. How badly damaged is it? Sometimes a good crack or something like that just adds character
  14. My Wii took a heavy fall on to a carpeted wooden floor and it still works. Thanks goodness Nintendo spend more money on the DVD drive to make it durable. Not sure about the Xbox 360 though. If you sneeze on a PS3 it breaks. I've got my Atari 2600(s) working again so unfortunately we cannot disect them for thier parts.
  15. Huzzah! It is fixed! I built a new power supply from scratch, with a voltage regulator that gets a little too hot for my liking, so I might have to make some changes. I changed the capacitor on the original PSU but that didn't change anything so a brand new PSU was the way to go.
