If you are not using an official power supply you have to make sure its center negative not center positive as 99% of most things are. Otherwise you will blow power regulators.

NTSC and PAL Jaguar power supply all have the same output 9v so even if he managed to plug it in which I doubt since the prongs are completely different it wouldnt fry the Jaguar

Green indicates you have a PAL Jaguar which wont work on NTSC CRT's but most modern LCD/LED/Plasma will. What kind of tv you hooking it up to

I have a new in box PS4 that i originally picked up for my nephew during black friday. My sister even though i told her i would get him one also got one from gamestop. Seeing if anyone is interested in it before i drive 40 mins to Frys Electronics to return it. Is your CDI a Pal or NTSC, Who is the manufacturer? If its a 450/550 model and it says Phillips on the lid then its PAL only and its up to your tv to display it correctly. Most moden tvs will but not all. I have almost every CDI system in my collections so send me the Model number and I'll look it up for you

Not sure if anyone is interested in something like this but figured its worth a shot to offer it here before ebay since this is a retro community. I have a new in box Symphonic 4 Head VCR. If its generating just a black screen then its a system issue. The Jag would show a red screen if it was a cart failure. I have about 6 systems that exhibit this behavior and swapping out chips and capacitors and even going as so far to reflow the cart connector didnt work on any of them.

You are only trolling at this point, and derailing this thread from its original purpose. CIB vs CIB there is no golden rule. Its all personal. I suggest you read this thread http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=12996 you will see the majority of classic collectors do not use CIB as complete in box. Furthermore i do not list anything as CIB for complete in box, if its complete I state complete plain and simple. Finally there is not true knowing of complete for an item unless you actually just opened it brand new. Who knows what all is inside a box(warranty cards, advertisements, poster etc..)

Personally for me I use a GBS-8220 I picked up off ebay for under $30 and wired up a Scart connector. I added a scan line generator to it for $4 and later added a composite sync stripper for $2 Now I have the majority of my systems going through two Scart switch boxes feeding into my GBS-8200. Personally for my best viewing experience I have it set to 800x600 with Scan lines on. Honestly the image quality is just a good as my old XRGB-3 that died on me last year.
