Just a heads up, you'll be way more likely to sell those 360 games if you use your own pictures. Stock photos are a warning sign for a lot of people. You never know if you're going to buy Medal of Honor: Warfighter and end up getting the old PS1 MoH in a jewel case with a homemade label that says "MEdal of Honnor" in purple crayon.
  2. Real Atari fans use the original bunny-ears wireless controllers. Keep your bluetooth heathenism away from my baby pls. *finger wag* For real though, this is pretty cool. I've always preferred the Wii remote for 2D games.
  3. Enjoy your new Prez, America. You deserve him.

  4. I used to have the entire Flame Warriors and Book of Gord sites saved as .gifs, but the laptop it was on kicked the bucket so I don't have the files anymore. I should probably get around to re-saving them before they go offline. Back in my pre-broadband days I would also download Youtube videos to watch later because my connection wasn't fast enough to stream. Not an issue for me anymore, thankfully.
  5. SNES stuff is at peak value right now. If you actually want to play these games instead of just posting pics of them online so you can show every one the size of your penis collection, I'd recommend getting a Japanese console. Most of these games are significantly cheaper if you're buying Japanese, especially the holy grails like Mega Man X3 and Earthbound, and most of them can be played without any knowledge of the language.
  6. It's still 2004 in my head dammit Let me live this dream
  7. I remember owning one of these when I was 13. Kind of a weird machine, is it a console or a computer? It's like they couldn't decide and just made it both. I enjoyed it while I had it, but I don't really have the money to spend on retro computing these days so I can't say I really regret selling it off, especially since I made a tidy return on my investment by doing so.

Random funny picz from my collection.
  10. Nothing truly ever dies, not on the internet. There will always be people studying and preserving cultural artifacts from way back when. There are people whose hobbies are finding and restoring bar paraphernalia from the 1920s-1950s, people who record ancient languages, people who collect old books and scan into digital form, etc. Just about anything you can think of, someone is working to keep it alive. Video games will be no different. Hell, AtariAge itself is proof of that.
  11. No, most likely the gears in the disk drive needs to be cleaned. Just get yourself some canned air, open the console up, and spray all the crap out of there. While you're at it, you might as well polish off the disk lens too. If you have an original Xbox, this is something you'll need to do every few years to keep it running.
  12. I owned an N-Gage once, years ago. Probably the strangest piece of gaming hardware I've ever used. Unfortunately, much like the Vita, most of it's best games are ports from other platforms, and pretty much the only compelling reason to own one is the Ubisoft catalog.
  13. Windows 10 is complete ass. I had to switch to Ubuntu on my desktop because Win10 choked on its own tongue and couldn't even boot up anymore. Worst OS I've ever used.
  14. The sooner this is finished, the better. I love the layout and visual design of this site and I wish I didn't have to use Atarimania for all my 8-bit needs. They have a ton of great content, but their layout is awful and there are glitches everywhere. Basically just do better than that and I'll have no reason to ever leave AA again.

Polo: Officially a better game made to promote a fashion brand primarily consumed by affluent white people than Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.
  16. Easily one of the best looking PS1 games. Nearly N64 quality visuals.

  18. I used to be SUCH a cheater, like to a pathetic extent. If a game didn't have cheats, I wouldn't even play it. Doom with IDDQD and IDKFA was magical to me. Just remove all challenge and give myself infinite BFG ammo and watch everything crumble before my unstoppable badassness. I still like playing games with god mode turned on just because it lets me explore in ways that I couldn't normally.
  19. Tesla manufactures electric cars. They've been making headlines for years because they're the first to make these cars affordable for average people. You definitely don't need to own one of these cars to have heard of the company, or Elon Musk - they're pretty big names in their field. And frankly, I've never heard of Mark Cuban, but I'm not going to act like he isn't famous because my limited sphere of knowledge happens to not include him.
  20. You seriously didn't know who Elon Musk is? He's one of the most famous entrepeneurs in history. Basically every modern economics textbook uses him and his company, Tesla, as an example of successful trailblazing.
  21. Used to have three, now it's down to just one. It's out of commission these days, but I still keep it kicking around for nostalgia value.

  24. Funny thing, I just recently got "done" with my PSP because those things are unreliable as hell and break if you touch them the wrong way. I went through three of them before I got fed up and bailed on the entire platform. As for consoles I lost interest in, both the Lynx and NeoGeo Pocket Color failed to hold my attention for long. Just so few games I enjoyed for either of them. I also bailed on Xbox One because of Microsoft's idiotic decision to turn it into a Windows 10 box. It's like they're trying to sabotage the entire Xbox brand.
  25. Oh well, it had a good run. I just bought one earlier this year and I've been enjoying it immensely. I feel like it could bow out at the end of the year and be able to retire with a pretty damn good library of games.
