  1. ^^please read at least some of the thread before adding 'me too!, me too!' i keep clicking on it thinking something may have changed, but nope, it's just another 'me too!'.
  2. i really liked how you listed everything with the pics and text. just a nice sales thread. to any potential buyers: i received my items quickly, this is a good seller. as far as new photos or no photos, if you had just marked the sold stuff as 'sold' instead of removing the text you wouldn't have had all the confusion or the need to take new pics. plus everyone likes to look at sold prices well after the fact, if only for reference.
  3. now this is the way a good sale thread looks! bump for a great seller.
  4. i think as physical media gets completely phased out (my guess is within 10 years, blue-ray is the last consumer level video format, guaranteed), there will be an interest in collecting old media, especially video games. i hope that will happen, and i love seeing younger people on here expressing their interest in what started it all, the beginning of video games.
  5. that's not white text on the end label, it is just faded from sunlight most likely.
  6. i too was wondering if anyone here ever saw these. last year i picked up one without the pins (just for the boxes), and another with the pins (all from the same seller). i actually got them for a steal on ebay, surprisingly. i know the seller didn't make back what he spent on them, but i'm guessing they were his doubles anyway.
  7. cool, was just wondering. please put me down for a premium. one of my all time favorite games made better? yes, please!
  8. is the rom different than the original Invader X that you put out on a couple of competition carts years ago?
  9. oooh, you're just asking for people to chip away at your bid by saying things like that! and i already owe you a couple of beers! seriously though, this is gonna go pretty high i think. thankfully i already have it cib.
  10. 'rare' and 'uncommon' - in my mind those are two words that should not be used to describe a repro. unless they can't be made anymore (of which there are only a few titles in that category). very nice nonetheless, no bashing intended.
  11. what, you didn't want to know if it's complete? and keep dreaming if you think no one else will bid on this!
  12. But wheres the challenge in that. precisely! this was just a 'can i do it?' thing for me. i did it. actually getting the label off was probably under 5 minutes, but add in warm up time and goo-gone time (i actually do prefer zippo fluid), and it'll never be the easiest way to source homebrew shells. it takes elbow grease and a steady hand, but the shells are perfect once it's off. plastic razor blades.
  13. i don't think there will ever be a way to remove silver labels in seconds. i imagine someone would have discovered it by now. whenever i've tried to pick off a silver label it has taken much longer than 10 minutes. heating it up helps, but then pushing under the label with a plastic straight razor blade (w/ handle) works. all that's left is a bit of glue goo here and there, and that's easily removed. it takes a certain technique (and a nice warm air gun (or hair dryer), but i've been getting the label off fairly quickly and it's in only about 3 pieces. though removing it isn't like butter, i'll tell you that. if i went slower i could get it off in one piece (but they do look squished since you're essentially pushing the label off the shell with the blade). the good thing is that the plastic shell is not scratched or damaged in any way.
  14. Some come off like that, but most do not. Keep trying and you'll see what I mean. considering i've done about 20 so far, that hasn't been an issue yet. lol!
  15. Pretty happy with the results. Has anyone pulled this off? (rimshot)
  16. i still have all of my 2600 connections from back then. i think i first heard about it from the zine review/catalog 'factsheet Five'. crap, that was a long time ago.
  17. i can't stop replaying the first tune in the video. it's in my head now.
