  1. I meant controllers. Something like the product released recently for the TG16 emulator thing, wireless controllers. You can reset and start a new game from the sofa.
  2. Is there are wireless solution for people with big TVs?
  3. Here is a suggestion, perhaps list all the products that you like and plan on purchasing on a website. That way the internet can know ahead of time what they should not be critical of.
  4. Anyone sit close to a large HDMI screen these days? How long is the cord? I think this should have been wireless for these reasons.
  5. I would have wireless joysticks (two instead of one wired), and wireless paddles. I would also make it work with homebrews. In other words compatible with the original system.
  6. I did not know it came with paddles , I thought it came with one wired joystick
  7. I am glad he decided to split the book into two. I would rather read the tech story and just skip the political one. I found his personal politics to be offensive. Just my opinion, you might like them, but they are not anything I am interested in.
  8. Not a fan of sending credit card info through email, it is not encrypted.
  9. You use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore. - Taggert (Blazing Saddles)
  10. I called the number on his website during his own posted business hours. No one answered, but I did get an answering machine. It said to leave a message with what you were looking for in order to get a callback. Left my number and what I was looking for. No callback. I purchased from someone else instead. I would recommend others do the same, just skip the calling part and find the parts elsewhere. We are talking about parts for obsolete machines that were mainly designed for children nearly half a century ago. It's not worth dealing with "special" people like this character, so I am kind of glad he did not bother to return my call.
  11. From the developers: That's Stella's jitter emulation. The game will not run stable on all CRTs. You can reduced the sensitivity or disable it in Developer settings/Video/Jitter & Roll. They marked the bug as closed.
  12. Do you use a switchbox to go between your different systems or does your TV have a bunch of inputs?
  13. I am sorry to read that, I can almost hear the disappointment in your post. The work you do in archiving is a gift to the community.
  14. Can anyone recommend a paddle gnob replacement source?
  15. Looks like it supports Linux now as well, but I ran into a problem trying to run it in Debian 11. ./AquaLite64 (The Linux Edition).out: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.33' not found (required by ./AquaLite64 (The Linux Edition).out) Developer might want to link to a static version of this lib as a fix? I would be happy to test against my system.

    Test Cart?

Is there a test cart for the Atari VCS/2600, something that runs the TIA chip through it's paces?
  17. IMHO , if you write a game and get paid then you are a professional. I prefer to think of these "homebrew" games less as homebrew and more as the products of small (sometimes very small) developers/companies and that the Atari VCS is still alive , like back in the day, because of them. Some of these new games are superior to games written in the 1980s. I pretty much just play Atari and other retro systems on my TV and I own a PS and Xbox, but they are not hooked up anymore.
  18. I purchased a composite mod on ebay for my 2600 a few years ago. I thought it was OK, but I am now noticing weird beeps and stuff when a game is not playing. They are faint sounds but you can hear them. Also , some sound is loud and some is faint. For example when playing 8K pac-man, and Pac-Man dies, that sound is noticeably fainter than the other sounds. I am going to open up the machine later tonight to see if I can spot anything obviously wrong, but any tips before doing so is appreciated.
  19. Between archive.org and asimov , I am not so sure about that.
  20. Do you know how much support? Like in dollars/sales? I figure he did this to try and make more money for his work by "promoting" it.
  21. You can report pirated software, video or music on ebay. But I suspect you are correct and that ebay does not care. There is also bootleg car parts and other electronics everywhere on ebay and Amazon. Neither seem to care. Buyer beware.
  22. Yeah, by 2001 I had called it quits tooo.
