Yes, I did. It seems like that seller has many titles like this. I can't imagine falling for it, but I guess he is hoping for a really naive person to rip off. Pretty terrible thing to do IMHO.

I know it takes a rom as an argument, and seems to remember your settings you set from the menus, but beyond that I would have to look at the source.

I purchased a tabletop Ms. PacMan and Galaga '88. I replaced the screens as the viewing angles were terrible. I found the much better screens on Alibaba. Otherwise they are OK.

I also use Mame and it is excellent.

This might sound odd but I have a real strange feeling of nostalgia if I see the old VHS company openings that you would see at the beginning of the tape. Thorn-EMI, Media , Vestron. I was watching a couple of them on youtube the other day and the feeling was really overwhelming , it was like I was back home as a kid watching a tape on the old CRT TV. I can not overstate the feeling I had.Then I watched them again yesterday and I started to think I should stop this, the feeling of nostalgia was going to leave me and I'll replace it with remembering watching them on youtube instead, thus erasing my old feelings that were apparently deep inside just waiting to be triggered. I think for some people the initial nostalgia of videogames and old computers is similar, and it wears off rapidly and they move on. What did it run on if not an Atari 2600?

That would be nice. I wonder if they will upgrade the screen, mine has a scratch and I thought the original screen was kind of meh.

I find the effort , skill and talent to make a good game for the Atari VCS (the original) to be remarkable and the fact that the hardware is so limited is a critical part of that.

I was in London during the record heatwave in the 1970s. I saw a newsreel of London on youtube of that very summer and it was shocking the difference in weight of people. These were outtakes of just people walking around on the street, not actors or models or anything. You would occasionaly see an older overweight person, but they were the exception. Now the opposite is true.

I had purchased a bunch of stuff for Apple II in the late 1990's. Looking at the elevated prices on ebay for example, I am glad I did. I still play with pretty much all of it.
