  1. Huh, that sucks how your PS3 died. have you tried fixing it? if its just an overheating you could put some new thermal paste and clear out the vents, I've heard that work. with overheating problems. I think the YLOD is where there is a hardware failure where you have to use the heatgun. you should try it for trying's sake, even though you already got a new one. I like the slim ps3's look better, the original one just looks like a fat ass after looking at the slim.
  2. wth, my gamecube made a random different startup noise... ITS POSSESED!

  5. American Gladiators for the SNES. oh my gosh is it bad. I hate it. I don't put it in my nes because I fear that It will give my nes cart STDs or something. luckly i paid 3$ for it.
  6. All the songs on the NES Blaster Master: they are some of the best songs on the NES. Very atmospheric The tunes from Thunder Castle on the Intelevision: it showed how awesome the intellivision sound hardware is. Castlevania 3 Legend of Zelda LttP Kirby on the gameboy and NES there is so much more...
  7. I like the Cel-shaded look to it, thats really neat. I love my cel-shaded games.
  8. Besides Xenoblade, I havn't been hearing much about the wii at all. I think its nearly in its deathbed.
  9. yeah, i agree with the microsoft going digital. do you see thier new GUI? its more like an iphone or droid. idk but my prospective of the two consoles is this: Xbox 360: its somthing that everyone has. like a "casual" sort of way. It seems like they are heading more in the casual route, but not as much as the Wii. ps3: more of the "hardcore" crowd, with the jrpgs and dark souls type stuff with more exclusives (not trying to start a flame war, this is all my opinion. don't get butthurt.)
  10. Is it possible to have 2 hard disk drives in dos? I'm trying to do that and it wont detect the slave drive.

Yes, but first you have to partition the second drive, using a file system that DOS can read (FAT16).

Oh, yeah i forget, that drive is formatted with windows 98: FAT32

  11. Yes, they are soooo much better. the original is the chunkiest fattest POS I've seen. I have the slim version, and I swear its half as tall as that chunk. with no ugly vents on the sides or anything.
  12. Best: The NES. its so simple and it hides any big huge toumors that are carts inside of it. Worst: The Xbox. Do you see how big it is?! also its puke green logo on the top. I like bolth light and dark greens, but that light bright green in plastic form is disgusting. the same with the lime green game boy color, ugh it makes me sick looking at it. good thing that the nasty green thing is only on the top.
  13. I don't see why the 2600 version of astrosmash is thought of as better. It just seems to vertically fast, with less variations on the directions and physics of the astroids. I'd much rather play the intellevision game.
  14. wow. Castlevania 3 kicked my ass hard

  15. I wonder if they will make a modern Redneck Rampage... lol
  16. Sure. What I see with NFSU vs ridge racer is that the 3ds's ridge racer has better more detailed backrounds with equivelent cars. It seems on the psp that the buildings are just cubes with textures. Edit: holy cow on ridge racer 3d the cars have a neat reflection effect on them. That's cool. Instead of some generic specular map texture, it reflects objects in the game. In the video I'm watching, when the car went under the bride, you could see the bridge in the window. Thats cool. Anyway, one thing that I dislike about the psp's graphics is that in most games, there appears to be dithering on some textures and stuff. It makes the whole thing look as clear as mud. Even Peace Walker has it. The 3ds's picture looks more clear to me.
  17. I loved it. Its my favorite 3d mario game. I don't understand why everyone dislikes it so much. you know what would be awesome? a 3ds Mario sunshine sequel thing
  18. Yeah, i just made a club nintendo account and found out that I had like 400 points after putting in most of my games. I got Xevious too. one thing I wish it had was online scoreboards.
  19. So far, the 3ds games like the new Resident Evil game coming out look way better than psp games. and also, remember when the ps3/xbox360 or for that matter, when any game console barely comes out, the graphics are usually just a smidge better. Its like going from Resistance 1 (which looked almost like a ps2 game with HD) to uncharted 3 sort of thing. when game developers become more familiar with the hardware, the games will look better. I would compare an early psp game to an early 3ds game and when the 3ds is a few years older, then compare a later psp game with a later 3ds game.
  20. well if your comparing small resolutions like on the 3ds and DS, there is a noticable difference even if the resolution is upped just a bit, when you get into the 720p's and all that, if you add a bit of resolution, its would be hardly noticable. It all depends on the scale you are analyzing it in.
  21. There is actually a way to reduce the scaling, you have to hold start and select in the menu while starting the game. But it's so small, I'd rather just leave the scaling up. I'm not sure if this is officialy documented or not though. (you can also do this with the GBA VC games) The power saving mode is what screws up the backward compatibility since it washes out the colors, but you can turn that off. Cool. makes you really see how much higher the resolution is for bolth screens in comparison to the DS. I never do the Power Saving mode anyway, cuz it makes everything look funny in the first place.
  22. I got a 3ds a day after christmas and I say that I freaking love it. The 3d is awesome. all those who say that the 3ds would be better without 3d, you know you can turn it off, and if it didn't have 3d, It wouldn't be a 3ds anymore, would it? I love the gyroscope stuff, its really really accurate, I think its better than the wii. and it don't have waggle crap either. the Backwards compatability (which is important, because I likes me pokemanz) is really good IMO, and all those complaining about how the 3ds has to make the image bigger than a 1:1 ratio are dumb. you can just hack yourself an old ass DS screen into your 3ds then. don't complain about having the higher resolution screen. geez. just that doesn't ruin backwards compatability. the 3d is good. Usually people say that they play it with it on just a bit or even off. for me its 100% 3d on all the time. the last boss level of Face Raiders pissed me off, but I beat it. The extending stylus is great, but they put it in a stupid spot. I'm right handed and I have to gake my hand completely off the controlls for me to get it, instead of putting my finger on it and swiping it out, like on the DS lite and the original DS. The buttons on the 3ds are nice and clicky, like on the original DS, which I love, I hated the mushy nasty feeling of the DS lite buttons. I've seen many people say that the wrist strap place is missing, but no, its just on the bottom, I have my original DS wrist strap, which is awesome for Metroid Prime Hunters. Yep, its awesome and I am satisfied with my purchase.
  23. The 3ds that I got about a week and a half ago is pretty much the size of the DS Lite, just a tiny bit thicker. Thats not worth the upgrade to me. I also don't see what the big deal is with the paint falling off of the D-pad is about either. The part where the bottom screen makes contact with the top is purely a design flaw for sure, I put a screen cleaning cloth inbetween the screens when I shut it to prevent scratches, which is not a big deal to me.
  24. I know that with the cards, but with face raiders and like the 1st person viewing in Zelda, you have to rotate yourself to keep the 3d going.
