  1. Hi everyone, I figured this was a good place to announce my upcoming Mega Drive game, Puck Off! its basically just an advanced Pong type game - think along the lines of WindJammers and Geometry Wars having a baby ? it’s currently playable but I haven’t implemented AI, special moves or advanced features yet as it’s pretty early on, but it’s coming along nicely. The game will be for 1-4 players. No promises but if it turns out well enough it will get a quality physical release. Here’s the title screen (WIP) to give an idea of the graphical style. The grid is of course scrolling in the emulator - true ‘80s style. Actually I don’t remember seeing that grid anywhere in the ‘80s but pretty much every retro project uses it in 2019! Lol. Cheers!
  2. Damn, been reminded of some great games. Start Control II (3DO) and MSR (DC) would be good additions though I think Project Gotham Racing 2 just edges out MSR IMHO. That game is so fun. Shame it doesn't work properly on Xbox 360
  3. Just scored over 2.1 million, which is a lot for me. Put me 20th in Pure mode on Xbox Top is 12,475,537. Safe to say I’ll never beat that. Lol.
  4. Haha no. I though about putting Street Fighter 30th Anniversary in mine!
  5. As the title says, you're only allowed 10 games. They can be on any system. What are they? Hard to get it down to 10 but I think I'd go: The Need For Speed (3DO) Tempest 4000 Grand Theft Auto V Super Mario Kart Street Fighter 2 SCE Metal Gear Solid Kurushi Outrun 2006 Super Mario 64 Phantasy Star What are yours?
  6. I've had the same experience. I used to write for gaming mags and websites (I do cars now) and I'm also a developer and I've never had a reply. I get the feeling he likes to keep to himself. Although if you follow him on that Periscope thingy he feeds his sheep live and answers questions as he's doing it. Seems a very nice guy.
  7. Ah so it's you! Impressive! I was just playing today. T4K has now replaced T2K as my all time fave shooter. Just took a bit of getting used to. It's definitely harder. EDIT: It's not you - I'm playing on Xbox. I think the top score is around 12,000,000 so you're a fair way ahead! I can only get to 650k or so but I'm still 115 or something on the leaderboards. Also... I bought the physical game from Amazon. It's not available physically or digitally in NZ on Xbone. I wonder why?
  8. Cool, I have Pis up the wazoo so I'll have to build one one day. I have a Mega Pi, a Super Pi, a GPi and a Pi in an Arcade1up cabinet, haha. Amazing little things.
  9. I'm in New Zealand and I got mine a few weeks back. I wonder if it's a backer number thing? I believe I grabbed the very last KS version and I was lucky as someone pulled out.
  10. I have been hooked to this game for a while. I play it on my Mega Drive (60Hz modded) and my Xbone. I think I've gotten to level 5/7 ONCE. It's super tough but so much fun. Oh and I'm in the game as a hostage, too. Haha. Side note: BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER!!!!!!
  11. XenoCrisis (does that count?) Gynoug (Wings of Wor) Thunder Force 3 (I never gelled with 4) I'd swap out TF3 for Silpheed if we can include Mega CD. God I love that game.
  12. To my knowledge no games NEEDED it, there were just a few that were crap without it. I'll add to the list of 'better with it' games: Virtua Racing. Separate buttons for each view isn't a huge deal but it was more like the arcade.
  13. Is the Flashback worth getting non modified? I do have Intellivision Lives, but yeh - PS2 controllers. I've never played Intellivision - I was a Fountain Force 2 kid.
  14. No! Collectorvision would claim it, then release 'Atari' games on Master System that I'd miss out on because they can't find enough donor carts and I'd cry.
  15. This is how I'm approaching it. It's a really styley looking little PC. It may not be a powerhouse but at that price I don't think it's too bad for a PC, considering the size/convenience. I wouldn't mind one for everyday PC stuff. I had an Alienware Alpha and I loved it and that was way more expensive. Sadly I don't think it will ever come out, though. Atari really ballsed this one up.
  16. Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with this thing and I was very wary, considering AtGames' history. Shame they're not available in NZ but I'm very happy with my Pi powered Arcade1up and Sanwa parts. Now if only they were bringing that Star Wars cab to my home country... lol.
  17. Not trolling, genuinely interested - in what way did Polymega bullshit? You mean the FPGA stuff or something else?
  18. It does look very cool and the "350 Games" isn't anywhere near as obvious as I thought due to the angle. Really keen to see some games running. I want a cabinet for the man cave and it's probably cheaper to import one of these than buy a custom built one here - not to mention I really only like to buy licenced stuff. In fact the only games on my various emulators are games I physically own. Ok I do have a fully loaded Raspberry Pi but let's ignore that. LOL
  19. Side art peeling off isn't a good look. Hopefully this isn't a production model? EDIT - Actually I think it might be the art itself - not actually peeling off... just looked like it on my phone screen - apologies!
  20. I guess that makes sense for the display units. Not a biggie anyway, it looks very cool. Hopefully someone will carry them over here in little old New Zealand.
  21. Looks awesome apart from one thing: the big "350 Games" right there on the front. Kinda cheapens it. Other than that it's very handsome! I absolutely love the side art.
