    Yay! I got my XEGS back from repair after 4.5 years. Well, it wasn't broken when I sent it away, it was meant to compare with a broken 65XE but during testing both broke down.

    I can repair stuff, but I know a lot of people in retroland cannot. This is a plague on collectors.

    Sigh. Time to do the used car hunting again since the repair shop determined mine was not worth to fix. Checking both online marketplaces and FB, and it seems to be an almost impossible equation to find a car that is at most 10 years old, less than ~125K miles, no major faults and price below $6K.

      I buy what can yield most miles per the dollar. I fix it, until it would cost more than buying a better car, if available. I've had my current one, since 2003. on 3rd transmission, 4th water pump, several sets of wheel bearings, and 3rd set timing chains. Everything I see broken down, is always far newer and shiner than mine. At over a million miles, it owes me nothing. Anytime I want, I can sell it for more than I paid, and any accident, nets me nearly 3x the cost back then. Annual fees on it, are $2. If I buy a newer one, then I'll have all sorts of road taxes to pay, so we keep rolling.

    Don't EVER use the USPS to ship anything.  I shipped four working Pac-Man arcade boards to GA (the next state over) on 07/10.  The boards never got there.  I placed a 'Search Mail' incident, and when nothing got done I placed an Insurance Claim (took out extra insurance in case of anything).  They just denied me and didn't give a reason.  $400 and four working boards are now gone.

      I ran my ribbon cable to the rear casing vents behind the screw pillar, and the ps2 socket is back there. Left rear corner was nice location.
