  1. Got mine about 2 weeks ago through Best Buy's website at regular price. Their website was a pain to use (took 30 minutes to complete the transaction once it was in my basket). I've been amazed at how much I've had playing Zelda II (forgotten how fun it was)!
  2. Tutankham using both joysticks (as in Space Dungeon or Robotron 2084)
  3. I would like to get a Switch but waited too long to pre-order. There's no way I'm going to be at GameStop at midnight. My strategy is to stop by the Walmart that I pass on the way to work (around 7:00 am) on Friday and take my chances. If I don't get one, I'll wait. Still don't have a Classic but know that I'll eventually have one...
  4. Intellivision II just after Mattel dropped the price (to $169 I think) and had begun including Burgertime as the add-in (1983?). I believe I purchased it at a local Kmart. I knew I was going to buy it with Christmas money and had already purchased a couple of Imagic games (Swords & Serpents & Ice Trek).
  5. Baseball (5200) - Triple Plays: "Out, Out, You're Out!" Al Unser, Jr.'s Turbo Racing (NES) Ferrari Formula 1 (PC) NASCAR Racing 2 (PC) NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup (PS2) Track and Field 2 (NES) Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe (PC) Jack Nicklaus Unlimited Golf & Course Design (PC) Mean 18 Golf (PC) Mario Golf (GBA) Mario Tennis (GBC) Mario Power Tennis (Wii) Punch Out (NES) I still play most of these...
  6. I did something similar (but more lazy) - I just placed the Wii-U bar on top of the Wii bar. Both work fine.
  7. I've long thought that Tutankham would be an ideal 5200 port and using dual joysticks a la Space Dungeon and Robotron 2084.
  8. Bought an Intellivision and Colecovision flashback today at the Tuscaloosa TRU. Four of each were available as were ones for the Genesis and the Atari 5. I almost bought the Atari also but decided to wait for now. I haven't played either yet but will this weekend. The most fun was at check out when the cashier asked me what they were. I told her that they were the PS4 and XBOX One of 30 years ago :-)
  9. I preordered thru Amazon - can't wait!
  10. I loved 1 but found 2 to be a bit meh... I bought Infinite today for the PC and, after about an hour installation process (with a one-time Steam validation which I didn't know about until I started installing the game), I've been playing on and off today for several hours. As noted above, It does pick up nicely :-)
  11. Cammy! Whoa - If you don't mind, I'd love to download this as well! - Jim -
  12. Thanks for pointing this out - the 12 games for free led me to finally join PlayStation Plus. I'm downloading LittleBigPlanet2 as I write this :-)
  13. 1. Space Dungeon 2. Montezuma's Revenge 3. Pitfall 2
  14. I liked it - it reminded me of DII but that's not a problem. The Witch Doctor was fun. I've got the collector's edition pre-ordered and am really looking forward to playing the full game.
  15. 1st Computer was an Ohio Scientific (8" floppies!!!) in late 1984. Followed by an Eagle (5 1/4" floppies and a much smaller footprint) in 1985. In 1986 I got an IBM PC-XT with 640k RAM and a 32 Mb harddrive (heaven!!). 1st console - Intellivision (1983) 2nd console - Atari 5200 (1984) 3rd console - NES (1986). Still have it.
  16. While the OP is about homebrews, I wonder if anyone has looked at doing a conversion of Tutankham? I don't have the knowledge to do the job but the game would be fantastic using both joysticks and the coupler!
  17. Space Dungeon wasn't a prototype.. it was released in the arcades albeit quite rare. I didn't know that. I can understand why it was rare. I've played the arcade version (via MAME) and it's "seriously yuck city" (IMO). Thanks for the correction! - JIm -
  18. IMO Space Dungeon, w/ the coupler, is far superior to the MAME (i.e., arcade) prototype.
  19. I love the Gottlieb and Williams releases so far but I would LOOOVE a Bally/Midway focus for the next one!
  20. Wasn't the original arcade version of Toobin' a 2-joystick game or am I misremembering? Perhaps a 5200 port could join Space Dungeon and Robotron 2084 in using the coupler... Oops - I misremembered...
