  1. This really is kind of amazing that someone would pay 40K for a game. A few months ago, I thouhgt long and hard on wether or not to buy a car for 40K. I love video game collecting, but I do not know how I could ever justify that kind of money on a game to sit on my shelf. You could never open it as it would loose more than half its value. At least I can drive my car to the video game store.
  2. LOL, Amazing how my Lil' Joke can change the whole direction of this thread.
  3. Yes I have about 30 Brazil games near the bottom of the shelf. I will try to put some pics up that are a little more recent and include the bottom of the shelf.
  4. Not only do I have mine set up by label but I also used to keep my games on a black shelving unit that looked almost like that one. At first I thought I was looking at one of my pictures! It is a video display case from a video rental place that went out of business here in cleveland. Works really well for my games.
  5. Amazing how many "Mistake bidders" on this one, Ebay does very little about retracted bids. When you enter an amount just over what the auction is at then retract it and list it as "entered wrong amount" It doesn't look suspicious at all.
  6. Who you calling a "Nerd"! Yeah, buddy, Repect the Nerd! I prefer "person of high intellect"
  7. Price went down today. If anyone hasn't noticed the large amount of retracted bids on the auction( I saw at least 10 or 15) I hate that shit, people always trying to see what the bidders highest price is. It always pissed me off when selling on Ebay.
  8. Secret Quest did not only use a code to save your game, it was the first game to use a code, soon after it became standard on lots of NES games What? So no earlier computer game used a code? C64, A8 etc? Really? You have a point, I am not sure on the computer side. I was only thinking of Atari and gaming systems. I was certain that I read somewhere that Survival Island was the first on any system. It is definitely earlier than Secret Quest right? Ok I again stand corrected http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=425 I was positive that i read that it was the first, but obviously not. both ny feet are in my mouth.

  11. I am a Atari 2600 kid and very much appreciate this site very nice, Even though I can have a very foul mouth(lots of F-bombs) I do not think you need to have this on your site. It is obvious that you are excited about the site and the games, but convey it in another way. You may exclude some people from using you site just because of the language. Otherwise Very Nice!
  12. ET really wasn't as bad as it is given credit to be, but no way is it better than Raiders.
  13. Hmm, I noticed you capitalized "Hookers" and "Parties." Guess we know atari181's Priorities now, don't we? atari181, I have a feeling we would get along just fine. -tet If you like Hookers and Parties oh yes we would! Dave
  14. My first computer was the Atari 800XL with the 1050 disk drive and an okidata okimate printer I would spend hours and hours typing in basic programs from Kpower, Compute or Family Computing magazine to find out they didn't work. Then spend forever trying to find out where I had messed up typing it in.
  15. REZ Evil evil 5 (4 times) love that game
  16. Would love to have a copy of this!, Huge Atari fan and Huge TCM fan this would be really cool, for about $200 not 1K that is a little too steep for most of us.
  17. Tons and tons of funny stories went on in the early days of Atari they Did tons of drugs, Hookers, practical jokes, Parties(day and night)and made video games. What more could you ask for in a movie?
  18. Wow! this is amazing! this auction is also listed in wikipedia under how much it is worth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadium_Events
  19. When i was first starting my atari collection I could have very easily bid on something like this. A new collector just sees something they have never seen before and wants it because it look unique. I agree Ebay does need to do something about this, alot of people are getting ripped off.
  20. I have looked and can't find anything saying it is cancelled, so hopefully that was just a rumor.
  21. I have a Channel F and a compumate add on computer for the Atari 2600
