    think of the connectors as the same connector.. put it on whatever one you want they are electronically the same connection.. I've run internal drives off either and they work the same.. and external. its drive select that matters to select the drive number

    in 2.4 that was grayed out but in this test version it seems to be available and it seems to work

    no drop downs 2.4 if you wanna get on a zoom and see whats happening lmk

    Drive can be on either the external cable or internal they are the same electronically straight cable, no twists set drive to s1 for DSK2 make sure you are using flashfloppy firmware on it with dsk/hfe files max disk size is DSSD 180k

    yes and yes I can use minicom with it

    thanks that got me past the error for rxtx but now its saying port not found on /dev/ttyUSB0

    SO trying to set this up.. and Can't get RXTX to work, any hints with modern linux and openjava 11? the ext folder method no longer works. <JAVA_HOME>/lib/ext exists, extensions mechanism no longer supported; Use -classpath instead. but -classpath doesn't seem to work either (sigh)

    should yes a HFE is a image of the mfm tracks so shoud write out fine

    here's a quick and dirty write in linux ~/.local/bin/gw write /mnt/emuroms/ti994a/gotek/defend_dsk.hfe --tracks="c=0-39" --drive=0 it doesn't support dsk files native you have to convert to hfe I use the lotherek tools to do so
