  1. I posted the service manual here somewhere also on whtech.. biggest problem with these is that they are soldered together with 2 pcbs around the mechanism so hard to take apart
  2. c64 is half the computer a 4a is why would you do that to yourself? 8bit, crappy chips, stupid power design.. whew also.. shelving old stuff for the new is not new in this system. shelved my personality card when i got the tipi, shelved the foundation ram card when I got the sams, shelved the gram kracker when i got a fg99.. etc.
  3. If you look in the FAQ QI and 2.2 roms are not necessarily both in the same machine. QI is the hardware 2.2 is the ROM there's a section on the console type.. you can tell easily by the side port and also the alpha lock bug. If your joysticks work for up with the alpha lock down (and you haven't modified your keyboard with a diode) you have a QI board Greg
  4. OOPS fixing sorry I can't understand why anyone would be using the discontinued flashrom99 that only does 32k of ROM when the finalgrom does so much more
  5. I have a raspberry pi running TIPI on mine.. As far as FPGA = emu its not .. it's not emulating hardware, it's replicating it in programmable logic. It's not the same chips and resistors but it's the same RESULT (hopefully) the biggest problem I have with say the mister is the inept user interface for controlling the core that was obviously designed by someone who spent little time using the real thing
  6. no you need a gram device to load those files into pgram, hsgpl, gram kracker, you could use mame and load it into the gk emulation there.. finalgrom99 could load the cart binaries of the file which is likely already in the finalgrom99.zip on whtech.. I have stock coming if you need one
  7. only if you aren't connecting directly to the console. if you have speech inbetween then you either need to jumper the 5v across the speech board OR use external power
  8. yes keyscan issue both are using scans only on the 4a monitor may need a cap kit i have them if you need also could try a rejuvinator on the tube monitor looks like you need to switch the switch on the back
  9. note.. this is in the pinned faq..save yourself a lot of time to check that first
  10. no idea, but I can try and see if they would be interested, worst case I can use bill pay to pay for it and get it in and reship it for a reasonable fee
  11. frankly, this has always been the case, they never accepted online payments you had to mail them a check.. I have ordered copies of this in the past for people who couldn't send $ frankly it's more trouble than its worth for the emulator, cyc may be worth it. but it's hard to justify the hoops required to chase them down and take your money when they could just set up a online cart or use my store or something modern
  12. not ebay.. but https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry-pi-4-model-b
  13. should work great pros: it's a crt better colors and speed of refresh cons: it's a crt its heavy and big
  14. Ok I've got overlays for some .. will dig them out and inventory
  15. this is a 100-200$ computer and 75-100$ box with cables.. for 2k. sigh
  16. I have the carts if they aren't in my store lmk what you are interested in
  17. ahh k would be cool to either hook to a rs232 or a virtual modem
  18. So far so good in linux. I have no idea what changed but it seems to be good
