  1. Does the screen scroll horizontally to accommodate 80 columns like on the Coleco Adam or does it just roll over to the next line? If it's the latter, then that does limit the usefulness somewhat from a display formatting standpoint.
  2. I'll have to dust off one of the debuggers as I am working on real hardware here. It's been a while... The first nibble should have an error code, if any.
  3. There seems to be an issue using the SAVE opcode for the PAB (>06) and DSRLNK. In the following snippet, only the second save operation actually works, while the first one does nothing even though it's completely valid. Now if I duplicate the first save code section, then both saves work. It took me several hours of head banging to figure this out, although I haven't the slightest clue as to why this is happening. Could this be related to the TIPI? . . PABP DATA >0600,>0000,>0000,>1800,>000E CAPTURE IMAGE PATTERN DATA PAB. 4. What is the best way to return to the title screen from assembly?
  5. The TIPI telnet emulation is laggy and incomplete unfortunately, which makes for a suboptimal experience although it remains usable. And it's not possible to access the physical drives in CP/M emulation on the TIPI. On the plus side, one gets full 80 columns if an F18A is installed, and that's a huge plus. In 2007 I actually used a P112 CP/M single board computer on a home-made PEB carrier card for power to add CP/M capability to the TI using a terminal emulator, and even got 80 columns with the Term 80 package , but again it could not access the drives. I demonstrated it at that year's Chicago TI Faire which was held exceptionally at the Evanston American Legion hall (http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/community/2007faire/2007faire.html). I have since dismantled it but it would be pretty easy to recreate. The Foundation card used the native TI floppy drives, which is a definite advantage.
  6. There is a huge amount of information and knowledge about the TI computers here from expertise which is sadly aging, and it would be a catastrophic and likely irreplaceable loss should this forum disappear. I for one will continue patronizing AA as long as I perceive a benefit to the community at large as well as to myself. That said, I will also start archiving select threads like the Assembly language and the pascal ones to name a couple in case the forum goes south. Time will tell...
  7. When you enter your password, it displays 2 X's for each keystroke. Is that what you are experiencing?
  8. It sure is. Here's a recent video I made of it:
  9. I'm in YN withdrawal! Get better already! You've got every TIer here rooting for you, so hang in there and fight like hell.
  10. Compiling can, and frequently does, change a program's dynamic, not always for the better in some cases. I agree with Tursi and others here that the original author should sign off on it first.
  11. Hope things are going better.
  12. Ok. Do you plan on giving any details out? It's been very nebulous so far. Generally when folks here have a project idea and post about it they usually are very open about it...
  13. On a whim I visited my local Goodwill today and found this awesome multi-switch computer surge protector for $6.99. Super handy and matches my monitor to boot. Now I can turn on the entire system with one switch flip while keeping my Rpi in the TIPI powered up at all times via the provided unswitched outlet. 🙂
