  1. Lol, nintendo virtual boy. Guess it was a failure but I really enjoyed playing it
  2. I'll keep an eye out for an atari, not really in any rush. I'd like to pick up some other stuff first. On that note, I can't beleive I donated my Virtual Boy I would really like to get another but they sell for a little more than I want to spend
  3. lol, I forgot this was mainly an atari forum. I will certainly entertain the idea of getting an atari in the future, can't say I've EVER played one. there's not too many thrift stores around here (CT), I know of two so I'm not sure where else to look for vintage gaming items. What are all of your thoughts on ebay? I feel like prices can be a bit high
  4. There is, but it doesn't work on the Genesis 3 which is the one I own. Only a few minutes left, refurb NIB quality master system. If I can score it for 65-75 shipped... should I? (Don't think it includes zapper) edit - didn't bid, hopefully will be relisted with lower price!
  5. Thanks for the kind welcome! What is the best way to get into collecting? I'm looking on ebay but it seems like a master system with a bunch of games is going to be around $60? Should I get one that way? I gotta narrow down my interests until I acquire one thing. I'd like to pickup one of those special edition GPA SP, with the NES sticker on it along with the 12 "classic games" as well. Sorry wallet Edit - I found a refurbished one, that claims to have never been used after the refurbishing for $100. Is that a fair price for NIB condition? (no games)
  6. Hello all! I came across this forum doing some research on NES clones, and decided to sign up. I'm not much of a gamer these days but enjoy the classic games I grew up on when the mood strike. I have owned quite a bit of "retro" gaming consoles over the years, a few of them failed, sold etc.. There was a Sega Master System in my household for a long time, it quit working before I was old enough to play it. I've always wanted to get another, perhaps my father would enjoy it more than me. He gave the entire setup + games to a coworker who collects/repairs quite a few years ago. I still have the original NES that was given to me as a child, works fairly well although replacing the adapter might be worth doing. I'm a bit hesitant to mess with it, perhaps I'll get another one that doesn't have any sentimental value. Dreamcast : broke, bought another on ebay a few years ago. Sega Genesis (v3 I believe), game gear, all sorts of gameboys, gamecube, wii. I'm not sure if it's a good thing, but this forum sparked my interest in picking up some old stuff lol. Any recommendations? I'd really like to get a master system, not sure if it's worth it though. Atari was a bit before my time, but the flashback 2 seems like a great buy. It's too bad Nintendo doesn't produce a "new" NES since all of the NES clones are garbage. Sorry for the long read!
