  1. Robot collapses after working for 10 hours! Time to start a new movement... Robot lives matter.. Unionize the robots... Better paid... More charging breaks... Free maintenance... Paid vacation leave... Please donate now, and let's free the robots from forced slavery and horrible work conditions! freYUO_Hy65uEJva.mp4
  2. Wire wrap for larger projects. Even the Myarc Geneve 9640 was done first as wire wrap board. And you can still buy I believe from @arcadeshopperthe PEB prototyping boards which makes it much easier to do larger projects at least for the PEB. All tho for the cartridge port or the sidecar there was never any prototyping boards made that would be neat idea for those wishing to do some testing of console only projects.
  3. Sadly this item on eBay is missing the connection box sidecar thingy for the ti99 side of things. But all the connection box on the ti99 did was allow you to use your same monitor and use the keyboard from ti99 console. I used to have the sidecar part in Dominican Republic but it got destroyed, I still have the manual.
  4. Someone bought the 4000 Alan Wake Xbox 360 download cards. Paid over 200 euros in shipping as well. And of course none of the codes work either.
  5. Have not seen one of these for sale before: Texas Instruments SDS-6000 Speech Synthesizer tool for LM386 Listed for only: $185 https://www.ebay.com/itm/144984776387
  6. Hmm.. Strange, so if @stevelanc unit is not hanging as he was able to scan for DSR headers and see that >1300 is working, means it is getting some response back, so then that leads more to a possible broken connection in the two sockets in regard to enabling the >1100 side of things, unless it is doing some type of "read test" after the response to enable the >1100 side of things. -- Weird, I wish I still have my nano peb, i would start tracing out the pins and signals, and dumping the DSR flash.
  7. Yeah, so in this original author post, most likely the problem with his Nano PEB boils down to "why" the >1100 DSR is not appearing, as he can't issue any commands from the TI BASIC prompt. Did @OLD CS1 you test running your nano PEB with NO CF Adapter attached to see if both DSR's appear the >1100 one and the >1300 one and if a command like CALL FORMAT works from TI BASIC even without the CF Adapter? If so, then for sure then @stevelanc problem is somehow related to the flash chip not being fully enabled for both CRU's, and nothing to do with CF card or the adapter itself. Now, if that is the case, did anyone trace out how the CRU decode is done and if the flash is infact divided into two halfs -- Did anyone remove the flash and dump it on programmer to see if it is indeed two 8k sections, one for each CRU? Maybe stevelanc can try removing and reinserting the Xilink controller chip, incase for some reason its not making contact in all the right spots. That is one problem with PLCC sockets they do have a habit of going bad after a while, and also not staying fully soldered if they are the SMT type which the Nano PEB seems to use instead of thru-hole pin versions.
  8. I have finally a bit figured out how to use GitHub at least their web interface, and made an attempt to place the source files released for this project into a repo, please forgive me as I am total noobie when it comes to using GitHub, but it has been done: https://github.com/gary99opa/3DStringArt Thanks everyone for your support, and hope you are looking forward to more releases soon, this was basically a test run for me. Next step, bigger releases, with better documentation as well. And I am here, ready to answer any questions you have.
  9. Is the Multicom and ICS ones the same? -- I have this version in one of my spare PEB's -- If it is so rare, maybe I should sell it! -- I wonder if its possible to upgrade them to 128k or 512k -- Too bad only the TMS4500 is in socket on this one not the ram itself.
  10. For me, it seems to be any .zip file no matter what it contains. - I recently made a release here on AtariAge in the TI99 section, and at first I posted, a zip with source code and binaries complied for the TI99 which normally have no extension at all, just a TIFILES header, and people were saying the download was blocked. - So I added just now a new zip with just PC notepad TEXT files of the source files, no binary code at all, and still it is flagged. -- Maybe firefox is flagging the "format of the download attachment url" itself, not really the file. - As it is strange looking URL, which then turns into even more weird format from the cloud. https://forums.atariage.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=1110136&key=ca2c6135406a129be1fb8eec341a4426 https://content-restricted.invisioncic.com/r322239/monthly_2024_04/3DStringArt-Source-Files-Only_zip.8557db86b6758b704c0a88d1dc37c9c4?response-content-disposition=attachment;%20filename=3DStringArt-Source-Files-Only.zip&Expires=1712947425&Key-Pair-Id=K186TDY4WHSHHJ&Signature=KrD-j4v40-6uVYJiYqliQbfYkhXdaSWRZ0Je0pEEwaZVC4HutJqVJooHsyq~zGe9XHqNiWMTvTIaPqcftIh95REHTV~ESmC0HDdjONTRl3lGsmJOEOW4IDJYkLoV4zjdb0~bZ0DxIgMDFKLcu6ek8miLONz5Apiz3a1w4owEVNI79Jz~wtADhXj0brROwsb0ZX6bOZicr9-i4oHmXU~Rwa-8GeYMGoFPXtTocUV7z7ENJSLN8BHjTIlXC8Q3oAIlaizRFw7gltoZ54QNcMvEmvmdNbmcjebzNOTm0mCyvO668RaTWYxhHug~vBsiqmwtsD8Vid796pXL7cyA5J0gMQ__
  11. yes, we need to trace out the lines and see how everything is hooked up. -- maybe there is broken solder joint underneath the DSR flash chip socket, or the Xilink controller chip, that is stopping it from enabling the >1100 bank. -- I don't think anyone made a schematic of the NanoPEB yet or taken a board layout scan after removing all the chips to see how it really works. -- If i still had mine, I would try to map out how it works, to allow for better repairs.
  12. Albert has added a notice at the top of the site about it. In this case seems to be because the TIFILES sub directory, for those that just wish the source code. I will upload a PC text only zip with source only. EDIT: Added the "source files only" zip, but still Firefox says it contains "malware" even tho there nothing in the archive except for text files.
  13. Yeah, some of the demos don't use KSCAN or a timed delay which had the LIMI 2 check in it. Originally, when I started writing these for Geneve, there was no M-DOS yet. My system booted right into the GPL mode. Later on only change on GDEMO was to remove the code which would bring up the Swan as background image at the start and during the automatic page blink test. In some demos like GDEMO you can use space to skip the timer delay and moved to the next test display. In some other demos there is menu you can access via enter, and controls using < > [ ] { } M to switch settings. Of course better demos could be made now. But I wanted to release the code as is how it was originally written back in 1988, sadly there not many comments either as it was written mainly for myself and coded quickly to demonstrate stuff for an upcoming TI fair. But the VDP-LIB was improved slowly and has some useful BLWP routines and has some comments added in 1990 on its usage. I will work on expanding that documentation over the course of next week for those wishing to dive onto doing some v9938 programming in Assembly, I also had a version for Extended Basic usage as well, I going to clean it up a bit add documentation and release it as well for those wishing to do so v9938 graphics in XB.
  14. Anyone looking for the *ENTIRE* OJ Simpson trial on VHS??? 📼
  15. Have not looked at my back yard but been raining non stop all day today and will be tomorrow as well, and my darn squirrel ate thru my repaired window screen so once it stops raining I going to add chick coup metal net over my window to stop the squirrel from getting inside.
  16. Basically, like this, various versions of high speed graphic line drawings. But this release has VDP-LIB which is a series of little routines we wrote to make v9938 easier to program, the VMODE one is cool, simple routine to switch different graphics mode. And also routines to use sprites as text menu overlay. If you run ART in the release you can press ENTER to bring up a menu which is made from sprites over the graphics and adjust it using { } [ ] < > M 3dstringart.mp4
  17. SOURCE CODE RELEASE by Oasis Pensive Abacutors & Gary Bowser (aka) GARYOPA FROM THE O.P.A. 1988/1990 ARCHIVES 36 YEARS SITTING IN A TEXAS INSTRUMENTS 99/4A TIME CAPSULE The other day on the TI99 Zoom Call, a developer inquired about the graphics running in the background on my system, so as promised I have now publicly released the source code from what I originally called 3D STRING ART, which was written back in 1988 for the Myarc Geneve 9640 and then updated in 1990 for my TI-Image-Maker and Dijit AVPC cards, it will NOT run on consoles with the F18A upgrade, but it will run perfectly on any v9938 / v9958 system and it should on MAME setup as well, but I have not tested it. In the attached ZIP, is PC text files of the various versions of source code, and also a sub-directory with TIFILES versions of the code already assembled and ready to run as E/A 5 programs. Also please NOTE the "copyright" notices in the various files, mainly the VDP-LIB file, I will be adding some documentation on how the various BLWP's work and their usage, but already in the comments in the 9900 source code is a simple layout of the calling registers used and data to be passed. You are all welcome to enjoy the code, change it and modify it for your own usage, but "proper credit" for using the library routines in VDP-LIB or the original "string art" plotting stuff in ART-S would be highly appreciated, and slowly I will be releasing more source code from the O.P.A. library, and also trying to figure out how to get "github" to work for me, for larger software project releases in the near future. Enjoy! 🥳 -=(GaryOPA)=- * 3D STRING ART v1.00 by O.P.A. * * 1988/90 Source Code Release * By Oasis Pensive Abacutors * Via Gary Bowser (GARYOPA) * Released April 11th, 2024 * Uploaded to ti99.atariage.com * ART-S -> Original 3D String Art Version 1988 EA-LIB -> Nothing important just normal EA Utilities FST-S -> High-Speed 8300 version of String Art GDEMO-S -> TIM/AVPC/GENEVE V9938/V9958 Graphics Demo MOV-S -> Moving version of 3D String Art with Sound TXT-S -> Special version of MOV-S to display titles VDP-LIB -> OPA VDP V9938 Utilities (Copyrighted 1990) Now available to view on my very first public GITHUB Repo: https://github.com/gary99opa/3DStringArt (Please forgive me, I am a total GitHub "noobie") 3DStringArt_1_00_GARYOPA_04_11_2024.zip 3DStringArt-Source-Files-Only.zip
  18. i think the winbond is divided into two dsr banks, one for >1100 and one for >1300 -- so something not enabling the >1100 section. -- sadly i am missing my nano peb, the feds never returned it, only the CF adapter part with the compact flash.
  19. well at least the RS232 part of your nano PEB is working, that at least half the battle, so not all is lost, means at least your flash on nano part is working and the controller chip. -- something is iffy about the CF itself. -- if you have a CF reader on your PC you could try making an image of it and see what is has on it data wise
  20. maybe they can turn down the elevator music as well, i always sit outside on the patio, even if it is raining, as it is so much more peaceful then inside a starbucks, i don't see how people can sit there and work on their laptop, but i guess they have earbuds in and blocking out all the background noise and stupid music they play. https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/starbucks-turning-down-the-noise-5857041/
  21. I used the Skype AI summary discussion feature once on a good friend, he was so scared afterwards with how much it got out of our random chit chat about things.
