  1. Zellers scam.. but Ianoid.. I thought we were *friends*!! <runs off sobbing> KA If I ever write an Economics textbook, I'll get you to give definitions of price, worth, and value.
  2. Alright! Lots of NES trades to go around.. maybe I can get upto 500 titles! (I'm at 430 or so right now). KA
  3. I've got a ton of NES and 2600 stuff. Do you have a wantlist? KA
  4. I don't have my want and have lists done yet, but I have a ton of NES games to trade, and about 300 or so I'm looking for.. do you have any lists? KA
  5. What kind of stuff are you looking for in trade for it? I assume you want classic gaming stuff, since you're posting on this website. KA
  6. You've got a nice tradelist there.. but do you have a wantlist? KA
  7. AtariInvader: Do you have any Master System games for trade? I'm always looking for UK SMS games, but I'm having trouble finding people to trade with. KA
  8. I'd just do it however you'd like.. I mean, it's YOUR game. Besides, no matter how you do it there are going to be people who whine and complain. I think it's funny that the people who whine are generally the ones who have NEVER done any good for the classic gaming community. Other programmers, archivists, whatever tend to support the programmers decision. KA
  9. Why not just download DCStella for free at: http://www.dcemulation.com I'd recommend the Atari 5200/800 emulator. The emulation is much better than the 2600 emulator, plus the 800 has about 2-3 times the games that the 2600 does. Of course, you could just get both. KA
  10. Wow.. that's pretty cheap. Shipping shouldn't be too bad per-unit if someone doesn't mind ordering 500 or 1000 at a time. I could see running into customs problems, tho. With shipping, customs and everything, you might be looking at 60-65 cents a cart. That seems to be a lot better than going to all the time and effort (and cost) to take the labels off of Combat carts. KA
  11. I like BuyAtari's suggestion. How about we change the categories to: NTSC Released PAL Released NTSC Bootlegs PAL Bootlegs NTSC Prototypes PAL Prototypes Unreleased Homebrews (you could divide the last two into NTSC and PAL as well) It would make the lists a lot easier to navigate because they are smaller. I'd suggest that for searching, tho, the default option be [ALL] otherwise we'll get a lot of messages asking "Why can't I find game X on the lists?". I still think all bootleg games should be given a rarity, because some are definately easier to find in the wild than others. KA
  12. My comment was referring to the huge gaps of information on this site about PAL carts, and not about the English or the Brazilians.. even if they are a bunch of football watching troglodytes. KA [.. time to go watch some baseball]
  13. Absolutely they should. The rarity indicates how difficult they are to find in the wild. Since these games are found in the wild, it seems kind of odd that they wouldn't have a rarity. Next question: Should European and Brazillian games have a rarity? KA
  14. What carts did ya get? I'd be interesting in makin' some trades if you have some games you're not too interested in. KA
  15. yeah.. I know.. the one guys seemed to all come at the same time. I know all about the dangers of eBay.. just look at the post I made in this forum yesterday. KA
  16. Both of those sellers have over 10 negatives, so I'd definately avoiding dealing with them, tho I've never dealt with either personally. KA
  17. You should really consider selling your modified 2600's.. I imagine you'd get lots of orders from people like me who barely know which end of the soldering iron to hold. KA [the sad part of it is, my Dad was a highschool shop teacher]
  18. I don't think these carts are that mysterious at all.. and I think we're making the story much more complicated than it need be. My bet is that they're just the work of some guy in his garage circa 1983 or 1984 who was just making his own home made pirates. He probably sold them at a flea market somewhere.. and since it was only one guy doing it, it explains why there are so few out there. He might have only made a few dozen, so it's not surprising that there may be only a couple of each game currently floating around. KA
  19. Yeah.. I think you're a bit cruel, but what do I know? Just for kicks (I'm bored at work), I filed a Internet Fraud Complaint on the FBI website. Obviously nothing will come of it, but it was fun to do and only took 3-5 minutes. KA
  20. My understanding of the story (and I'm learning this second hand, so I may get many details wrong) is that NESDESTROYER was selling the same PS2 and the same laptop on eBay about 5 times... took the money from several different people, but never shipped. I guess Mr. Atwood got rather upset by being taken by a crook and decided to try and get his money back. I wish I could get Mr. Atwood to post here (he knows of the message board), so he could tell us all what happened. KA
  21. Unfortunately, NESDESTROYER decided to use Mr. Atwoods contact information when he bid on all these items. So he's been dealing with irate phone calls and e-mails all day. I'm worried that I may be the next target of this guy's identity fraud. I advised Mr. Atwood to file identity fraud charges with the FTC. There's a website about it at: http://www.fraud.org I was contacted again by NESDESTROYER RE: the previous e-mail. Here's his one line letter and my response: ------- --- Shemo Purs <nesdestroyer@airgunner.net> wrote: > Suck my big fat dick Comments like that are unnecessary. Do you plan on paying for the auction you bid on, or will I have to pursue legal action? ----------- He hasn't mailed me back, and I have a feeling he won't. It'll be interesting to see, tho. KA
  22. Apparently, this guy (one of the many NESDESTROYER aliases) really hates Tim Atwood: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1357161730 KA
  23. WOW! This just got even more interesting. I just got an e-mail from NESDESTROYER. Here's his e-mail, with my response. -------- --- Shemo Purs <nesdestroyer@airgunner.net> wrote: > This has nothing to do with you or anyone else. My > main goal is to vanquish Tim at all costs. I will > keep hitting on him until I get him. Go to > safeharbour and squaretrade to remove -1. Again, you > can call me an asshole and anything you want, but I > still am going to win against asshole atwood By bidding on my games, you've agreed to a binding contract to purchase 50 NES games, and I expect to get paid for them. If not, I will pursue the matter in small claims court. --------- What the heck is this guy thinking? KA
  24. I've noticed that as well, Adrian. There tends also to be a difference with the age of the stuff.. generally the older the games, the better the experiences. From selling, I tend to have a lot more problems tracking down people who bid on my NES stuff.. whereas my Atari/Coleco/Intellivision auctions tend to run more smoothly. I've heard horror stories RE: eBay and Dreamcast stuff. KA
  25. Welcome to Atari Age.. I'm sure you'll love it here. Survival Run seems to be a fair bit more common in Canada than in the U.S., so the "Canadian" rarity would be a lower number. The rarity figures on the site are a North American average.. but some cartridges are easier to find some places than in others. Spectravision games are a lot more common in Canada than in the U.S., whereas games by some manufacturers were never released in Canada, making them very difficult to find in the Great White North.
