Think that Star Wars: The Force Awakens looked familiar? Well... https://vimeo.com/160263943

Listening to Steely Dan on Spotify... amazing how unique and timeless some music still is.

Very good cover band! My current favorite is Leonid & Friends. If you like Chicago, you should check them out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_torOTK5qc

Are you a fan of Space:1999 or UFO? Tangentially-related review now in my blog!

I remember almost nothing about the TV Show. I was born in 1971, so I must have watched it and liked it, because I do know I asked for and got the Space:1999 ship for Christmas or my birthday one year in the late 70's. But other than that I don't actually remember anything about it. I had to Google it to figure out what it was about.

Went to the dentist today. Someone poking your gums with pointy metal things still counts as human contact. I'm calling that a win.

both should come up with some lottery numbers together, and run a random number generator based/running on the same cpu as your states use for their games of chance.
You might hit it big spending just 3 to 7 dollars each!
I normally don't like any of that kind of stuff unless the odds are known and changing in my favor!

After watching a UPS truck get "unloaded" at a Post Office this morning, it amazes me that anything ever arrives anywhere intact.

@save2600 when you say 1080 monitor, I think of something else.
Then I found this and thought of you and your Amiganess.

I thought M&M's used to be more chocolatey. Now they just taste like... sugar.

Today's weather for the L.A. area: somewhere between a gullywasher and a toad-strangler.

Was thinking of buying a Tesla for my next car... but the speedometer doesn't even work on this one:

Don't forget. Before a Tesla played Bowie, Bowie played Tesla. https://i.redd.it/a4x1sext874z.jpg

Getting tired of these handhelds with these tiny weenie little screens, considering the market these would appeal to they should consider the failing eyesight of the older generation. I mean come on.
these days I wont even consider anything with less than a 5' screen and even then I prefer at least a 7' screen.

So... how soon until someone starts manufacturing "Flashback" VCRs? http://www.geek.com/tech/the-last-new-vcr-will-be-manufactured-this-month-1662669/

Why does this say "Dental Repairs" on it? I don't even want to *think* about how that would work... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CNIKG6/

Dentists perform dental repairs, and they need tools to do it. Is this such a stretch? You're on a site where the last machine produced by the website's namesake has had its plastic molds repurposed into dental cameras (as well as scam video game revival consoles, but that's a subject for a different discussion, one with 9,805 replies)

I don't think I could possibly care less. But I don't care enough to determine whether or not I actually do.

Oh... it was that one with that guy in it, and that girl. And the other guy. But the line was different because she asks the guy if the other guy cares about anything.
I think it was either a historical drama, or a war documentary. Had something to do with a war anyway, that happened a long time ago.

Finally met Albert yesterday. Super nice guy. Contrary to rumors, was *not* carrying around an Intellivision game with him. Also surprised to discover he wasn't eight feet tall, nor does he speak with a thick Swedish accent.

For the first time in years - I started drawing again tonight, for no other reason than for the sheer joy of it. No goal. No intent. No purpose. Cartooning is way more fun without any pressure involved (self-imposed, or otherwise). I need to do more of this.

Yet another "critical security flaw" in Flash Player?! When are they just going to give up on that thing once and for all?

The new "transfer" rule in baseball is idiotic. Here's how to fix it: if the player drops the ball ON THE GROUND, then he doesn't have possession of it. Simple enough?

The big question right now - can snowmen and fireballs live together in Harmony?

I miss the Sears Wish Book...

There was a great bio piece about him in the Post yesterday. For a second I was afraid he was dead, it was such a glowing tribute, almost like an obituary. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/style/2017/02/16/how-weird-al-eclipsed-almost-every-star-he-ever-parodied/

Sitting in the waiting room while my car gets smog-tested just outside. Carbon monoxide-a-licious!
