I don't want to buy a "Smart" TV. I just want a plain old stupid one.

110°F today... and it's supposed to get hotter over the next two days. Yay, Southern California...

I wish there were more to it. It was OK, though. Seemed like a big-budget TV episode to me.
Solo used to be my favorite SW character as a kid. Now that I'm older, I identify a LOT more with Luke, he's got truth and justice and idealism on his side
or at least he did until Last Jedi, which is more like how I feel these days

Pouring rain outside. Home from work with a sore throat. Time for some tomato soup and a grilled-cheese sandwich.

Really didn't need the unsolicited "senior discount" at El Pollo Loco last night. I know I'm old... but I'm not quite that old. Sheesh.

New Blade Runner 2049 poster prominently features Atari logo. Sort-of. http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/08/24/new-blade-runner-2049-poster-revealed?abthid=599f0c58a3d10b6f7a00001a

There was a great bio piece about him in the Post yesterday. For a second I was afraid he was dead, it was such a glowing tribute, almost like an obituary. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/style/2017/02/16/how-weird-al-eclipsed-almost-every-star-he-ever-parodied/

Human Resources wants me to evaluate myself. Sure... be glad to. But I think it's only fair if afterwards I get to evaluate them, too. How do you spell "incompetent"?

Merry Christmas to all! Or at least have a really, really nice December 25th!

Little did the crew of the Enterprise know... Kirk wasn't bluffing about the Corbomite, and he was totally ready to kill every last one of them.

Wow... the moon looks absolutely huge tonight. Wait a sec... LOOK OUT!! WE'RE GOING TO CRASH!!

Just saw the best commercial ever. No audio, just text that said "The following 30 seconds of silence are brought to you by McKee's 37", and some additional text describing their car care products. Silence is golden. I actually went over to their website to check them out. I'd love to see more advertisers do that. It would save wear and tear on my mute button.

Remember - there is no "I" in "you're a complete moron."

Sitting in the waiting room while my car gets smog-tested just outside. Carbon monoxide-a-licious!

Great. Now I have 50 years of Doctor Who episodes to catch up on.

25 or 6 to 4? Child's play. How about 20 to 17, 21 to 20, 22 to 21, 27 to 22, 26 to 27, and 16 or 30 to 26?

Waiting for Miley Cyrus' inevitable return to Disney. First song? "Whistle while you twerk."

Waiting in line for "shredding day" at work. It just doesn't get any better than this. (sigh)

8 CPUs or not, explosions take a long time to render.

Eating lunch at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. There are only two guys and one girl. Does this mean I get a discount?
