  2. I think back to people I knew decades ago, and their faces are still frozen in time... like an old Eggo Waffle. Or something.

I dunno, spoilers are kind of baked into the movie when you've got a character who's literally named Evil.

I plan on seeing it this weekend. Thanks for the review.

I wish there were more to it. It was OK, though. Seemed like a big-budget TV episode to me.

Solo used to be my favorite SW character as a kid. Now that I'm older, I identify a LOT more with Luke, he's got truth and justice and idealism on his side

or at least he did until Last Jedi, which is more like how I feel these days

I'd give it maybe a six. At least it didn't frustrate the hell out of me like Infinity War's ending.

I thought it was Great! When all was said and done, I might have made it more Star Wars-y, but great nonetheless.

  3. Apparently, the internet thinks we have a "style" that's ruining animation. https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/22/17381380/thundercats-roar-calarts-style-steven-universe Well, I suppose we should pick one then. https://vimeo.com/channels/calartscharanimfilms2018/videos/sort:plays/format:thumbnail

As much as I abhor John K's sexual predation, assholic tendencies, crotchety views, and of course, his "all or nothing, never say compromise" attitude; I wouldn't call him a talentless hack by any stretch. Considering that he and many of his friends worked on a lot of cartoons in the '80s, he rightfully decided to do something about it.

    3. Bakasama

      Bakasama

Weird part is that, John K. wanted more creator driven cartoons. That did happen but fans influenced by him fans seem to hate them. I guess they can't always get what they want.

I wouldn't call him a talentless hack either. But he is a complete hypocrite who is incapable of moving past his own hackneyed style. At the time, I liked some of the work he did on Bakshi's New Adventures of Mighty Mouse and the early Ren & Stimpy episodes. But there were a lot of other talented people working on those shows, who have managed to move on to other things. John K is irrelevant and obsolete.

  4. There's something about the number 7800... I recently passed having that many posts, and never even noticed it. Now I know how Atari felt.

Just sock that feeling in a warehouse for 2 years, and bring it out when it's ridiculously out of date and irrelevant. With arcade ports!!

Hey, maybe notAtari should call their new system the 7800 II.

When the Smurfs once arranged their own Olympic Games, the Weak Smurf didn't get to be in either team, so he set up his own. He got help from Papa Smurf who smeared an unknown substance onto Weak Smurf's nose, and subsequently he won every event. At the end he admitted to have been cheating, when it was explained it was pure raspberry jelly that Papa Smurf put on his nose, and that he won thanks to the placebo effect. Perhaps more athletes should put raspberry jam onto their noses.

Sounds like snow and Wisconsin. And the worst offenders are typically the people that drive trucks and SUV's. Over confident and clueless - a terrible combination behind the wheel.

Now I just want a magical store to appear...One that sells Chrome Select switches for Atari 2600, Cheap 7800 power supplies, New POKEY Chips (on sale), an AC valve for my dad's Datsun 280 ZX...and Rainbow flavored Unicorn meat.
