  5. There´s a Venezuelan seller who have 2 listingns of Atari bootlegs, and had bids. He's not mention anything about the "Piracy" aspect of the games, I don´t know if the bidders are concious about that or they are going to get a surprise when the shipment arrives. There´s the listings: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 250693417128 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 250693419111 My question is: Some collectors are interested in getting that kind of bootlegs? or do you think is a honest mistake of the bidders? if anyone like those, I can get many more titles and very cheap! Edit: The first lot of the games had been claimed (ore coming), those pictures are referencial, but the next lot will be very like those. The price at the moment is 5$ each and discounts for bulk. I charge real ship, Example 30$ for 20 games, standard mail (normally a month, can take more). for Expres i need to check is 10 to 12 business days. I posted pictures of the rest of the games, and you can see 2 sizes of carts.
  6. Hi Eduardo, I've contacted Fernando about the Champion 2711 on Ebay to ask him the serial number since i'm trying to keep track of all known Champion 2711 serials and owners so far. He also told me about the others he found and that he reserved one especially for you. Great to known a future Champion 2711 owner! I don't want the one on Ebay or the rest since Fernando sold me seven Champion 2711, have plenty of them. Onced you've gotten your Champion 2711, could you tell me the serial number of yours please? P.S. if any person is interested in owning a Champion 2711, Fernando has on on Ebay right now: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280557390809 --- Sly DC --- Sure i´ll do that, after i play a little..
  7. Hi, Fernando found some more consoles, and he´s reserving me one. This time i´m not leting go. Interested people can lookout on Ebay.. Cheers..
  8. Max, I try to see the video, but YouTube says it had contents of Sony Music and due to copyrigth laws it cannot be display in my country. You have a version without music? Thanks..
  9. Hi, I Find that bit in a Chinese-Made set, with 40 bites of any kind and very cheap. Try to find any place who sells variety of chinese imports (Sorry, that will be 99% of U.S ). For the Contact cleaner, I use instead oil in spray, who dissolves the dirt and then, use the cardboard to remove the oil and the dirt. Of course we live in different countries and the products may be different, The oil I use i an standard for Mechanical work (Spray very hard to loose bolts with it) my friends and I use that trick with a large variety of systems and they revive from the dead. That trick is not mine, I laerned from a guy whoa had worked with video games 30 years and was trained in mattel (to cover warranties) Sounds like your using WD-40,or something similar????/Cant see how that would be good for the contacts long term/wouldnt that attract more dirt? I´m in Venezuela, so the brands are very different. Sometimes (for a quick fix) I just, spray the oil and insert a common cart, and just insert and reinsert a few times (and move to the sides) and the system work again. For the systems long term, I remove the oil with a cardboard the size of a cart, until is clean. I Also clean the carts very carefully, open the cart when is possible and apply the ink erasor, my rate for bad cart are only 1% (I recover like 30 from the dead with this method). In other post of the same subject, I posted some Pics of before and after the cleaning, maybe later i can post a pic of the erasor.. Here´s the post: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/168109-games-crashing-to-green-screen/page__p__2079018__fromsearch__1#entry2079018
  10. Rev, you are really a collector I think that if someone had a buy it of 3K now for a CIB Spiker, you´ll go for it just for complete your collection, Congratulations! And when you finish Intv, what collection will go next? Cheers, Ed.
  11. Well, when I say that I'm opening the carts, it's so that I can more easily access the pins. I can stick a cleaning swab in the open end of the cart, but it's tough to make sure I get all the crud off of the pins. I'm not (yet) to the point where I clean the chips and circuit board. I'm not familiar with Classic Clean. I'll have to Google it. I do open the carts and apply and ink erasor, the contacts shine like new! and you can forget about cleaning for several years! also i have recovered tons of carts who normally people think they are bad beyond repair..

  13. Yes, but we are talking about an Atari 2600 game branded Intellivision, a pirate release.
  14. All the more likely that some pirate is going to latch onto the Intellivision name which wasn't being used in the region, then Maybe odd that Mattel chose not to use the brand name themselves in the region, but there might have been a reason behind that. I find that difficult to believe. Mattel advertising was as prevailant as Atari back in the 80's - they were the two top dogs in the market. Video games were *the* hot commodity for startups. So I'd imagine that the biggest players were known worldwide regardless of how they branded their products in differing regions. Or, it could have been something simple...like a pirate trying to pass off a cartridge as being "official" but not having much insight or familarity themselves into who releases what. Brazil is a big country with a lot of population, so Mattel licensed (and also activision) their products to be released (and I think manufactured) in Brazil, of course with portuguese manuals and names. and back then the world was not globalized as now days, it was very hard to know what happens in other countries (of course only important news). but i guess the brand was known enough in Brazil for this.. About the publicity, In my country you didn´t see any publicity on tv for any video game console (or even magazines, I've searching for ads) the stores was the only way to know the product and hear to mouth. what happen in the US is not an example for others, specially 3rd world countries..
  15. Max, The Mattel line for Atari is called M Network. I have tried several games (Baseball, Astrosmash, Frog Bog) and didn´t like any of them (the original are far better). I have to try the rest, apparently Tron deadly disc is good. I have several of those games sealed, but i´m trying to find them opened. there's also armor battle, Adventures of tron (I think is a very changed version of tron maze-a-tron) He-man, Bump n´Jump, Lock n´Chase and so. Also they released and Especiol edition Tron Joystick that is very cool. It seems The smurf is a pirated version, intellivision is a brand they choose to release the game. But if you want to buy it, i can help you the US$ and Reais conversion is 1 to 2, so will cost 14,5 (30 R) plus ship, only i had to talk to the seller if he´s willing to do business internationally. -Ed
  16. Hi, I know the topic is old, but anyway here´s my list. Is hard for me to do rankins, especially because I based my list in the games i played as a kid, note i didn´t have all the games (especially didn´t have the later ones) so they are excluded. Most of my games i get it from friends or my brother´s friends who didn´t play anymore, so they sold me their carts, of course without overlays or manuals so part of the fun was to discover how to play and find out all the little details. but still there's info i learned recently, When i replayed Tarmin i get to read the manual and find many little details about the gmae who i didn´t know or remember. The manuals help little because we didn´t know english anyway, amd traslating with dictionarys was very hard. I especially remember Tarmin and Space Spartans my biggest succes in learn to play, in others i fail, like bomb squad. Well, here´s my list: 1 AD&D Tarmin That´s the game i´ve played the most, until my Intv overheats and crah (the bad side of living in a tropical country) It was the game that want to play more when I get a working INTV as adult 2 Space Spartans As a kid, not knowing english made the complicated games like this one (audio is english too) harder to know how to play. I still had the manual with my attemps to translate with dictionary. Maybe the extra work to learn to play made more enjoyable the play. 3 Utopia This game made addict of the sim genre, from simcity in a IBM PC (AT Monochrome) to Civilization V (Waiting the release) 4 Beam Rider Fantastic! The game i played the most in emulation 5 Lock n' Chase I was an expert in this game, I played so much that the Cart Broke off and had to insert the card directly and still works! 6 Burguertime Wasn´t sure of putting this game #5 I played a lot and then get kinda tired of it.. 7 Snafu Love it! With Biplanes and Tanks in Triple Action, are the best 2 player games (my opinion) 8 Triple Action Love Biplanes! Even tanks beats up armor battle. sometimes simple games are very enjoyable (any Atari fan can tell you that) 9 AstroSmash Always call tjis game astromash, Was very addictive, if you are not in a hurry. I played a quick game when the first death was it, even like that was very long! Ah, that young reflexes… 10 Tron Deadly Discs Should be up in the list. Long games but very fun. More often turn off to do homework way before i was in trouble.. 11 The Dreadnaught Factor Just love the game. 12 B-17 Bomber Wondefull game, I played many hours this Game Love it 13 Shark! Shark! Love this game, simple and endless but you have a good time. 14 Microsurgeon I was facinated with the concept 0of the game, Wonderfull! 15 Ice trek Love this game, was difficult, but very fun. Remember that almos complete the ice road, and then a fast iceberg destroys it from the begining 16 Dracula Didn´t play any other game that you where the bad guy, so was very appealing for me 17 Diner Very fun, played most of times just to beat my record of how many enemies i can crush with one ball.. 18 TRON Maze-A-Tron To this date i hevent´t learned how to play this game (well, i haven´t try as adult) but that never stop me to play many hours to figure out (I didn´t have the manual) that hours was very fun 19 Auto Racing I liked a lot that you can go and wander across the scenery I mostly play to find out new secret places or shortcuts 20 Beauty and the Beast Well, hated Donkey Kong, so only left was this game. 21 Vectron I was fascinated, the graphics, the fonts.. Is a game you learn to love 22 ABPA Backgammon I love Backgammon and ´ñaying this game was a good way to practice to try to beat my family in the real game.. 23 Mouse Trap I don´t know why, but I was very hooked to this game for a while 24 Baseball AT first didn't like as much because everybody beats me, when I learn a trick to only pitch strikes, i like it a lot. 25 Soccer The favorite of my brothers still fun to play Should be on the list: Star Strike, maybe i like it more now than as a kid. AD&D Cloudy Mountain: I don´t remember how much i played this game, that´s way was left over, but is a great game! when replayed, i put the easiest set and complete the game in 5 mins..
  17. I just think that is very unusual, Intellivision was branded "Digiplay" in Brazil, so Intellivision was not a very well known name at the time. extrange.. In Venezuela, the official distributor of Nintendo (even was called Nintendo C. A.) was also assembling pirated games and importing all sort of imitation accesories (and a pirated Famicom) they get sued by Nintendo and lost, that was the end of that company.. You don´t see almost any Nintendo or Sega sealed items from Venezuela because their untrusty origins...
  18. Thanks, So, as I understand from the web page, that brand has nothing to do with Mattel?
  19. But Smurf is a Coleco Title (I think so), for an Atari system? is too strange.
  20. There´s a seller on Brazil (Ebay equivalent) that´s claiming to have a smurf cart for 2600 branded Intellivision, the picture is bad but you can recognize something looking as intellivision on it. This is real or a Scam? There's the link: http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-153749961-raro-smurf-marca-intellivision-para-atari-2600-jogo-_JM
  21. Hi, I know Fernando Ross and I saw the console in his house, I never think that was so rare and related to Intellivision!. Well, I can´t collect all. Cheers, Ed.
  22. Hi, I can help you telling you how many of this games are plenty sealed, (in Venezuela) so I think is safe to open: AD&D: Treasure of Tarmin Lock 'n' Chase Space Armada (not sure if is depleted) Space Spartans Star Strike There´s some stock of Sharp Shot but is not very common. Beauty and the Beast Dragonfire I think those are harder to find sealed.
  23. Well i have the link, the publication finished unsold. and the seller haven´t republish. here's the link: http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-147811772-intellivision-2-digiplay-funcionando-perfeitamente-tudo-_JM After looking carefully (you can see the pictures yourself) it dosn't seem so different. I was confused with another product..
  24. Yes, there are duplicates in Mercadolivre, especially Beamrider, Buzz bombers and maybe Snafu. there´s also a publication with 5 digiplay titles but only cart and manual. My offer to help extends to anybody. (it´s a favor, i don´t want anything in return) but i don´t want to get in the middle of a collector war. talk with Rev about who goes first. Max, many of them don´t speak english, maybe that the reason they do not respond.. if you want the games too, please organize yourselves (I think you three have talk a lot) I just get a reply from a seller who has 3 or 4 games, uses western union and the ship to usa is 30 reais (15$) had to ask to canada. so 3 Digiplay titles plus ship could cost a little more of 80$ (45R each games, 22,5$) There´s also a Intellivision II console digiplay version (sure is PAL) a seller just publish one in 255$ You can go to Western Union and ask how to wire money to brazil. Cheers, Ed.
