  1. Just got home. Came straight here to AA. Then straight to ebay. That's all i got to say about that. 312.50 those game are in very high demand and the price was good !!! so what do you need now to complete your collection? spiker sears checkers super series big league baseball cbs venture (striped box variant) roullette (french canadian) maybe one more but i cant remember.my collection includes all major variant boxes.you can see that i am only missing 1 cbs and 1 french game and 1 sears game. that damn checkers might be rarer than spiker. And you forget the digiplay titles or you don´t want to collect those? digiplay will be the very last thing on my list. i opened an account on mercadolivre and messaged a few sellers but they dont respond back. i guess they dont speak english. i need a middle man, anyone speak portugese? I can help you with that. I already contact a seller who had several Digiplay titles and he´s willing to use western union..

  3. Rev, if you where willing to pay 3K for the 8 games, is still a good deal for you..
  4. Ask if he has any more cases of the mystery box as if you want to buy more. If so, I BET he has opened at least one to see what is inside, and if he won't tell you, then you know it is common. I saw the sealed box, is unopened.. I write myself the part numbers..
  5. We haven't talk about price yet, but for him, to have the original box Atari sealed (Big box of 12 little boxes of 6) is a big deal for him. A buck per game would be nice, but I don't think we reach that low.. I had to start negotiations, that mistery part number is attactive, don´t you think? i wrote the number myself from the box, but was write in pen, so could still be some kind of mistake..
  6. According to DP it was going to be used for the Pac Man/Defender 2 in 1 cart which was never released. I doubt that is what is in this box. It will be a surprise I guess. Let us know what it is if you buy it. Mitch Well, I have to think about it is a lot of money 72 sealed games. if is a common game could take years to sell that many on ebay (with almost any profit). and what do you think of "off the wall" is rarity 5, but i think that number has lowered since a lot of sealed games had come out recently.. Footbal real Sports Soccer Silver (that's the version is around) is R4 accoding with AA rarity guide, but nobody wants that game...
  7. I checked the Atari master part list that I have in my possession and CAO16940-67 is indeed RS Soccer. The numbering in it doesn't go up to 168 but all of the other numbers in the series have the last two or three digits matching their corresponding CX number so I think your guess of Off the Wall for CA016940-168 is correct. I can not find any reference to any numbers starting with CA4 in my copy. If CincYnoTi's surmise about the red label release is correct then it would post date my copy which is from early '84. If someone has a later version of the master part list they could look it up and tell you. Mitch Thanks a lot, I think those two games are identified correctly. but what about the last one? CX26160 dosn´t appear to be assigned to any game.. or could be a mistake? or a pleasent surprise is awaiting in that box?
  8. Look, I was also hesitant to use the oil, but had worked wonders. That trick was passed from a guy who was trained in Mattel. (he attend all warranty claims, he did so for my system when i was a kid) he had almost 30 years working with video games. In the other way, I have no trust in the electrical contact cleaner, had done more damage than fixes (on computers in my expierence) the mix of the chemicals and the dust is very dangerous, use an air blower instead. I have some pictures of before and after a cart cleaned with the erasor
  9. No, in fact I realized that I forgot to ask what a good method is to clean the contacts in the console. Is there a thin swab I can use to slide in the connector? I use a oil in spray (normal luv for mechanic work) and cut a piece of cardboard thick and wide similar to the size of a cart, after the oil insert several times the cardboard until is clean. and remember to use the erasor on the carts..
  10. I think the CA numbers are very Atari internal codes, think that is more likely to find the game by the CX number. so CX26160 is still a mistery? every page says just ??? could be a hidden treausre. but i get very mad if I buy the box and turns out that is real sports Baseball (or ET or Super Breakout) with a changed code...
  11. I'd ask him to open one of each of the boxes. Games are sealed regardless. He doesn't even have to open all of it, just one of the flaps. Phil He refuses to do so. only sells the sealed (unopened) 72 games Box. that's way i had to find the numbers.
  12. Hi, Have you cleaned the Intellivision contacts? and also in my expierence alcohol is not enough to clean a Cart, you have to use an Ink eraser (the ones with 2 sides, one for pencil and the other for Ink), if the cart has screws, open it and apply the eraser on the contacts, they will get shining and you forget about dirty contacts for a few years!
  13. Hi everyone. Someone is offering me 3 original sealed Atari Boxes of 72 games each (with 12 boxes of six games each). The only thing i got to identify the game inside is a part number, but i have to be 100% sure what are those titles before I buy something. Here's what in the outside of the box: 1. CA016940-168 (last 3 numbers in Pen) I guess that is part number CX26168 (could be Off the wall ??) 2. CA400087-160 (last 3 numbers in Pen) and below CX26160 (last 3 numbers in Pen) I haven´t found that number 3. CA016940-67 (last 2 numbers in Pen) and below CX2667 (last 2 numbers in Pen) Could be Real Sports: Soccer?? (bad news) Please someone can confirm those games? thanks in advance.
  14. Well, I can talk exlusively for the Venezuelan source games, I can assure you there are legit and they exists in big quantities and they will no be depleted for a long time (some titles do) think in this way: is profitable to recreate an astrosmash box with manuals, overlays, a very good condition cart who only can sell for about 10$ and less? but i think that you can tell the difference is a box is replicated or not.
  15. I have an Atari 800XL, is Boxed (very Bad Shape) with Styrofoam (complete but disgasted) Manuals are in regular shape, Original Rf Cord, no Power adapter or Tv/Game Switch the Console is yellowish and needs a new ram chip (I think is a common failure, and easily reapired.) I only asks for shipping that will be around 25$ - 28$ (Paypal) because is International (Venezuela) and could take a month or more to arrive, I will ship properly so the box don´t deteriorate more. For Europe, Asia and Canada could reach to 30$, I have to ask. If anyone wants pictures, let me know.
  16. Well, i´m not keeping the sealed games for money reasons, just for the feeling of having something 3 decades old but also new, almost all of the sealed games i have duplicates, but still i´m undecided to open for the mint cib, sometimes is more fun to find mint cib games in the "wild". my dream is to find every Intv game sealed, i know that some collectors are trying to do that. (some one who has a seled tutankham?). and i do want to play the games, i just play with loose carts, i don´t even want to manipulate the boxes.
  17. Well, I guess what will be the chistmas present for my daughter
  18. Hi, I think the power cord has a white rubber band that is "desintegrating". I´ve open a few Atari 800 new in the box, and the rubber bands on the cable looks like that, the rubber band "melted" and became "glued" together but also very fragile. I don´t know if I explain myself, but that part looks real to me.. In the last picture, you can see the piece of tape has become yellower at the end, i´ll say is a sign that the plastic was open, and the sealed again (dirt for the hands, air, etc) Overall is difficult to say it´s new, but in my opinion is very close to say so. You could ask more pictures, especially the ribbon on the cable, that state of the ribbon is impossible to imitate, and breaks and fall off at any manipulation.
  19. Maybe he see that, but look at the box, is very damaged, If he's waiting so many years for a CIB, could wait for a mintier one, I would do that..
  20. Hi, I could get you the power supply of a Atari 800XL, brand new, and I´m interested in Intellivision, what games do you have?. Cheers, Ed.
  21. I imagina that the sharpie is the enemy of collectors for the same reason you use it. The Ebay sellers also know that trick?
  22. There's some pics of an unopened ADD Tarmin box of six unopened games (you can check the code printed on the side). You can see the original glue that Intv Inc. and mattell uses for seal the boxes. and could be a large quantity of these boxes here in Venezuela... I also have Atari Boxes, and only 1 Activision (of an Atari game) but all already open or with a piece of a regular tape for seal.
  23. Well i will squish some oranges and let you know how ended the games! I guess some product are very similar (almost all the windows cleaner uses the same stuff), but in general the Transnationals who makes the products call them different, I guess (like procter and gamble), here the products has to had the chemical compound described, I think is the law. Well, let me try different stuff with the common games first. Also if someone knows how to improve a box that is going "soft" (is so bended that is loss the form).
  24. Well, if its from Venezuela I assure you that are legit, there's no way we can get enough mint or near mint games to reseal. (we are very different from U.S., we have 25 Million people only, and most of us lives in apartments, so we don´t have the room to keep the stuff 30 years, so most people trow away vintage games) I´ve seen a lot of the original Mattel and Intellivision inc. (also Atari) Original boxes opened in front of my eyes to doubt any second. (and I open a couple). About the video, is very cool. is a coincidence that i just mention those particular games... you got me good. and let me clarify that the seal is not hermetic, the air does circulate inside the box, just slowly. 30 years is a lot for the glue of the label reacts with the air. and keep in mind we are a tropical country, so humidity is always present.
  25. Please don´t mention brands, that´s impossible to find in my country! maybe chemical components?
