  1. It could be done by Intv, if they run out of boxes and have no budget to order more. They do sold some Games in a bag, with no box. Is very interesting that the labels where from a manual and still the manual was inside.

The seller had several and claim to be Mint and never been used, could be a new Old stock he had found.

Telegames had record of selling games with the very strange packing, Maybe Intv was following example.

  2. When I click on Purchase History in "My eBay", there is an "Archived" radio button which lists all of my purchases for the last two years.

I just got word that the shipment I ordered from Venezuela in early April finally left customs and is on its way to my door. As I've said, sometimes they take quite a while to get here, but I have yet to lose a shipment. We'll see how everything looks when it arrives.

The order from me had also cleared from Customs, so it will be a couple of days to arrive. The Problem with the mail is solving, Most of Canadian delayed packets where delivered last week and I guess and hope that the rest of Delayed packets of the Us will arrive next week.

  3. This is why I need to stay up later:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 2209150894371?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=220915089437&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

I feel sick, someone got a Spiker for $60? :woozy::mad:

No one feels sicker than me. I found this auction within minutes of it being listed. I had to contact the seller to ask if they'd ship to Canada and waited for about an hour. They finally responded and I got the message within five minutes of them answering me. While I was reading the message someone bought it. I missed this by a minute or less. If only the seller had let Canadians buy right off the bat I'd be able to sell this to someone here for a great price. :( I really hope it was someone here that got it.

Why didnt you just use your 'special' weapon in a case like this where timing is everything?!?!?!?!?!?!

It required immediate PayPal payment to execute the BIN. :(

Just add Rev´s address to one of you shipping address on Ebay, I did that to send him some games.and works ok.

  4. Just ask a friend in the Us to receive the game for you. and Why do you need his address?

I've considered using one of those services where you hire a company to forward stuff to you, for those that insist on shipping to US addresses only.

Ive never gone through with it, because I'm not sure how I would go about having that address verified by Paypal since it doesn't match the address on my credit card billing statement.

I suppose it's something I would have to look in to.

Don´t worry about that. Ebay accept any ship address you insert and paypal takes that address automatically. Just pay from Ebay not directly in Paypal and you are set.

99% of the stuff I bought on Ebay ships to US only and with my US address inserted I can bid in these auctions

  5. I think he is using it just as cheap advertising to get people to look at his other auctions or as a weathervane to see how much people are really willing to spend via the "make offer" option.

The estrange thing is that the Best Offer is not activated on the listing. and for publicity of his auction, I think he may get the opposite effect, I just bought from Him a CIB Melody blater at 40$ only one bid, the day Before a Cib Jetsons ended the same (40$, 1 bid).

I think he´s scaring away bidders by his 50K aspirations.

    Nice pickup Ed! :)

Now I only need Tut and Cobra to get my official 125 done, maybe those are available at Cmart´s? :D ;)

  7. How much more superior can it be? I have a clear picture through RF, I mean unless the picture quality for an AV mod looks like HD TV im not sure its worth spending any amount of money on it

How much better and sharper can you make a game from 1980 look?

I would love to see side by side screen shots of the difference in picture quality

Funny, but my experience has been that the NEWER the system, the less the difference is. That is, a SNES using its official RF adapter looks pretty darn good! An Atari 2600 or Atari 8-bit computer looks like shit. Interference, wavy lines, etc. It doesn't take much interference to become annoying, in an age where we're used to having a "perfect" picture.

So, the game from 1980 can look significantly sharper. I have A/V modded Atari 2600 and the S-video is razor sharp. Sure, there's the 1980's resolution - but that has nothing to do with the sharpness, contrast, stability, and freedom from interference that we're after. Look at all the other systems that people have A/V mods for. I have one of the modded Colecovisions from AA user "Yurkie" and its composite output is FABULOUS.

People A/V mod everything console-wise. It's very popular, and there are solutions and services available for most of them. S-video for Genesis. Composite for NES top-loader. Composite/S-video for Atari 5200. Composite/S-video for Atari 7800. There are mod kits for 2600s on Ebay, all the time. Since necessity is the mother of invention, there must be a need, or this wouldn't be such a popular mod.

My whole point was the dearth of options for doing this to the INTV. The fact that no option currently exists for INTV does not render the desire for said option unnecessary. How much better would an A/V modded INTV look? I don't really know, since I've never seen one, but if it looks anything like the improvement on the Ataris or Colecovision, it's pretty sweet.

But that's fine - I'll take INTV any way I can get it. And since the Ebay one I ordered was junk, I have none at this point. I'd settle for RF and a working console, at this point. Not quite sure where to get one at a reasonable price.

The one I received as "untested" so I knew I was taking a chance. However, as soon as I opened the package, I removed the unit and turned it over to look at the bottom and I heard something bounce off the carpet. It was the reset button!!! It was just dropped in place, but loose. Then I heard parts rattling around inside the unit.

"Untested" - HA! To be sure! I can't believe the seller would hide the fact that there were parts loose inside. Maybe they never inverted the machine, or shook it? I'd be terrified of negative feedback to say something was "untested" (which leaves the possibility that it may work) when there are parts rattling around inside (which clearly greatly reduce or completely remove that possibility.

So big INTV FAIL for me so far. However, I'm willing to try again, but I need to come up with some "Strategery" on how to not get screwed again. I assumed these machines are somewhat reliable, but I'm new to this console (again)!

The Video signal is an electrical signal that can decay if old cables or many connections are used. The Atari 2600 and others wha had the Rf cable attached is probably that the cable itself are causing the noise and poor quality, due manipulation (excessive bending, crushing or just age). Also the Rf Switchbox is not necessary at all, you can use and adapter (sold everywhere, including Atari Age) that can convert an Rca cable directly to Rf cable, the less stuff between The console and the Tv is better, less impedance and more signal strength.

So you can use for you Intv a good quality Yellow Rca cable (with gold tips maybe is better) and the adapter and you will get a crystal clear picture unless the Console have problems with the Rf unit (could happen) I really don´t need anything else. I will not risk my Console for something unnecessary (to me).

So that´s maybe the Video mods for this system are so hard to find, Because are not really a great deal.

  8. I may have seen the option on Ebay to report a member with the title "Feedback extortion", if others sellers have done that the buyer will get in trouble for sure.

I get some buyer like that in gamegavel, Menacing with negative feedback, claiming to damage in boxes, as sonn as I ask for pictures, I never heard of him again.

  9. It seems a case of severe dirt on cart or contact. on my experience alcohol do not really clean well, you need to try something more stronger. I clean the carts with an eraser until are shining. and the port itself with spay oil (is not conductive and after inserting a cart several times to remove the dirt, use cardboard to remove the oil)

  10. Wow, I think I've crossed some kind of INTV rubicon by owning a game that cmart doesn't have. Because of space limitations, my INTV collecting plan -- like my general collecting plan -- is just to go for rares and the commons that I really enjoy. So I'm really happy to add River Raid to the collection. My plan does not include collecting sealed games, so I'd certainly be open to trades for the TT and any other sealed game in the lot. I've got an ECS coming in the mail, so I'm interested in CIB ECS games at the moment.

And here it is: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 3207740643381?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=320774064338&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

Arrived today. I think the price was pretty good considering that everything is new in an open box (which shows a little bit of water damage but is in pretty nice shape overall). One question: what came in the cardboard insert in the lower right corner of the third photo? My guess is an RF cable and a switch box. The description mentioned a missing AV cable.

The Ecs do not use an AV Cable, but it uses a power supply that is on the picture.

  11. What the HELL happened here??? :-o :-o :-o :-o Am I missing something or did a $20 game just go for $141.50?!?!??! :? :? :? :?

Maybe people are confused and thought this was the rare box variation. Isn't the rare one light blue instead of dark blue? Or am i mistaken?

The light blue one is the rarer one, but it isn't that kind of rare! You can usually buy these for $20-30 CIB at worst, even with the comic, which isn't that uncommon. Unless there's something I'm missing, this is nuts. I know the seller and he's waiting to see if he gets paid.

I think the He-Man collectors (They are many out there) are looking to get Teh Intellivision Game, especially with the comic book. Is the only explanation I can think of. 2 people are needed for an auction end crazy.

  12. Would this be considered a variation since it is the same as mlb minus the license?

Depending of the type of collector you are. Inside is the same, outside has some differences. I do collect every minor variation if they pass by my hand, other collectors only get the really major Artwork variation.
