Hello, can you help me get this chip programmed? It's been a while since I've programmed chips. Which programmer are you using? I'm using the TL866 with the MiniPro software. I have the fuse bits for the chip set properly (http://www.engbedded.com/fusecalc/), but I think I'm looking for a bin file that isn't there. I'm not sure which file to upload to the code and data fields.

nah, I looked everywhere. there's no telling how long they weren't attached, though. mine is a '97 model. and there's nothing wrong with the monitor so I guess I don't even need them.

Alright, I got my monitor from ebay last week for $35/shipped. I would like to do this mod. Is it the main chip on the board that you're reprogramming or the little chip that you you're gluing to the back? What chip are you using?

Please add me to the list for 2 Basic boards for an 800xl and a 2600.

I had a so-so dealing in November that I wasn't happy with. It all ended up decent, but he's not a good communicator and has memory problems. I paid for an 800XL (my first, btw) that was advertised to come with a controller and power supply.
Sent payment November 15th. Didn't hear anything until November 29th even after a few PMs to get attention. You can see where the messages were read and that he was on the forum. So I went ahead and filed a claim with payapl. That got his attention. He said he didn't see the messages and forgt to send it and that the package was next to him the whole time, lol. He promised a partial refund and sent it. I got it December 2nd. It didn't have a controller and no partial refund was issued. The deal thread was deleted after the sale so there's no proof of the missing item.
Oh well, the computer works and I enjoy it. Just thought I'd throw that out there. And he has a youtube channel that he posts on regularly. He's a nice dude just not all there, imo.

It's still funny watching that old guy (stargunner) get angry. We're in our mid 30s and love AVGN. Get off my lawn!

Excellent, I was wondering where I could track that down since seeing the review the other day. I bought the new one this weekend off of Steam. Thanks for releasing it.
To all the old people here, "Get off my lawn!".

Not sure why you thread jacked this 3 year old topic.

Thanks, guys. I'll give each suggestion some thought.

Cool, are there any examples of it being done out there? I'm having trouble visualizing the process.

I have an old light sixer from 1980 that I just put Longhorn's mod and a pause kit in. It had a pretty rough video to begin with and some of the switches were squeaky. I replaced all caps, 2 selector switches and cleaned everything up.
Everything works great so far. A problem I see is the silver sticker on the bottom is starting to come off. How would you guys permanently attach it? I was thinking of some kind of clear spray. Serial # 366217
I don't think tape will work.

It's time to get back to it, buddy!

That's silly for bumping this thread. http://www.vectrex.biz/ is the only one to go for.

you musta been asleep during the part when he got new boards for it

Billy is a cool dude in real life. He's not like in the movie so most of that was garbage manipulated by the producers.

Damn, I didnt get the update email in March. I'm still interested
. I have a keypad standing by and I still haven't installed the pause kit waiting for this. Thanks for the update! -
There's another thread here showing someone cutting the hole.

Awesome, sounds good to me!

...are probably as close as you can get to having one.

Yeah, I can't wait. I need to find a monitor/chassis and the power supply stuff and I can start troubleshooting the board I got that supposedly doesn't work.

I'm still working on my Galaga project. I got an old control panel shipped to me. That's about as far as I've made it
