      @digdugnate: having just spent the late part of the morning and first part of the afternoon doing some light maintenance on a 2005 Jeep Liberty that was slated for replacement three years ago, I feel your pain.  Every time I go out and look at contenders, new or used, they're just overpriced.

       

      While I don't mind driving an older vehicle, there are some considerations around how I use it that make it sub-optimal in certain areas.  Problem is, there's nothing I can justify replacing it with solely on financial grounds - it's basically reliable since I've debugged the typical weak spots, and has no real used value because it's an 18-year-old Liberty.  Its saving grace is that it's a diesel, but that means more to me in terms of how we use it than it does on the used market.

       

      Dropping $30K on something 5 or so years old that fits my needs knowing that I'll put a billion miles on it over the next couple of years (thus leading to staggering depreciation, and entering an unknown world of maintenance) simply isn't worth it.

      I know someone who had a pair of these set up to act as remote monitors and controls for a laser cutter.  This was back in 2014 or so; I'll ask him about them next time I see him.

      Also, ketchup has no business being on meat loaf.  Use a good BBQ sauce (sweet, spicy, your call, don't care) instead.  It's way better.
