  1. A good realistic topic. All the replies with stuff ending up on yard sales means awesome videogame pickup vids on youtube or whatever replaces it in the future. What about digital accounts, i.e. Xbox/PSN/Steam gamertags? In some way, those will become a memorium of sorts, the achievements, games played, etc., assuming they remain accessible.
  2. BTW, they re-released Retro City Rampage DX. http://www.vblank.com/store.php Got my copies: https://twitter.com/romeoteknik/status/776762783971024896
  3. Same here, ordered the full set, still hasn't shipped yet.
  4. Ohhh, seems to be some good news, they won't be using the terrible dark color palette from the Virtual Console. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/07/nes-classic-edition-games-look-better-than-virtual-console-emulation/
  5. I want to see some screenshots of the games, I'm worried they will use the same virtual console emulation which has that terrible dark color palette. I'm hoping for pixel perfection output that the AVS NES is going to bring.
  6. Here's my latest: https://twitter.com/romeoteknik/status/750952406406561792
  7. Will this be physical versions only? With Sega updating their Steam collection with a game room interface, I would love to see that done with Atari for Xbox One/PS4. A digital shelf with your collection of purchased games. No need to use separate disks for a different set of games (unless it installs the games into your collection). DLC packs for future volumes.
  8. I went for the PC version since that is the only "limited edition" for this game. Link: https://www.amazon.com/Ori-Blind-Forest-Limited-PC/dp/B01F2EAJVS/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1466831418&sr=1-2&keywords=ori+and+the+blind+forest
  9. In those threads, it seems you were given alot of flack, but you were right in the end. It's nice for AA members to give benefit of doubt and it's also nice to have members who spot b.s. from the get-go.
  10. Nothing but positive feedback, got my package from him, well packed. Highly recommended. A++
  11. Would be cool to throw in reproductions of the letters as well. This site has some ("read letter"): http://www.digitpress.com/archives/cc_patches_2600.htm
  12. Nice to hear, congrats! "Don't fight to be right, but fight when you are right."
  13. Unlike the Chameleon, this is legit, new update video:
  14. NECA has a whole line, they are pretty awesome, the boxes look like the game boxes. I have the Friday the 13th one myself, when you open the box lid, it plays the song from the NES game. 15. Will there be some sort of GUI if you power on without a cart? The retrousb AVS NES will have this, so curious. I wonder if ethernet is still off the table? I still think it's a bad idea to not have some sort of patching available. Despite the reassurance from the original vision, there is NO WAY all games released will be bug free. The QC team (which will be 1 or 2 guys?) can't verify everything. Take a game like Terraria, which could be put on a cart I assume, still gets patched today. Their bug topic alone has 6,500 posts. If the idea is for the customer to send in their copy for a "fix", who will pay for returns? Mike and team? The game progammer/company? Surely not the consumer. It's lose/lose. This should be avoided if taken seriously or if the board is already set, then go the Wii/WiiU route and have add-on USB ethernet available or something like that.
  16. Latest issue of RetroGamer had an article on this. (attached)
  17. Under $200 and not emulation according to that forum, this new video shows pixel perfection: https://youtu.be/SKZIoq7pp34
  18. Anyone following this? Looks awesome. http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?StartRow=1826&catid=7&threadid=92557 Scroll a bit down for some pics.
  19. Thanks all. Attached is the pic. The box is Water Ski.
