  1. I've been holding off on games (even the awesome pacmanplus ones), waiting for "XM" games exclusively.
  2. I hope you really do a Pitfall 3 and if possible, release Pitfall 2 (5200 version) for the 7800, music and bonus stage! Heck Pitfall 3 can be the same as 2 with a larger area, more baddies, treasure, etc. I want to hear that glorious music with the XM, when it comes out.
  3. Went to thread, not sure if anymore left, these look awesome. PM sent.
  4. Pitfall 2 on the 5200 was amazing, not only the extra stage but especially the POKEY sound/music. Playing the 2600 version is of no comparison, maybe even dull. With the impending release of the XM add-on, is Pitfall 2 XM/5200 version possible? Can one of the great programmers on here make this happen? Please!
  5. It's now showing up on iTunes as .99 cents, I guess it's not free anymore, although Halloween is not here yet....on the east coast of USA anyway. Maybe you should clarify which Halloween nite by timezones.
  6. You should ask on the Atari 7800 board since the XM add-on is due out soon.
  7. Awesome game. Thanks for posting. I left a review and will tweet about this and inform other forums about this classic. Keep up the good work!
  8. Sorry for the late response. The picture bothered me, maybe I'm way too used to HD or something although my A/V Famicom displays without issue. Anyway, there is a guy on ebay who mods your Atari for $50 or you can order the parts from him and do it yourself for about $30. Here are his auctions: Mod service: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290476176546 DIY: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290503279345 I had no issues so far, the mod is very clean.
  9. Thanks for the views guys. Space: nope. Pac: I know I will, can't wait for the Xm module. Metal Ghost: The lithograph and syringe pen are all available at the Take 2 Store. 10. I had to buy a 7800 since I pre-ordered and am awaiting this awesome expansion. A vid was uploaded, enjoy. ^__^ Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hJM6i1fmt8&hd=1
  11. New vid posted for the new year. Enjoy.
  12. " Do you know of any legal or technical reason why Atari cant release 7800 or 8-bit games to platforms like Xbox Live arcade, handhelds, etc? They are already releasing games for the 2600 and arcade on Xbox Gameroom, it wouldnt surprise me if you start to see 5200 titles show up on their service in the future and who knows, maybe 7800 titles will follow not too long there after, at least that is what a little birdie tells me" Wait a minute here, what does Kurt know about this? Krome has closed it's doors and are finishing up their contractal duties. Is Kurt saying Game Room will be taken over by someone else? I really don't want this to die, the Atari games are pixel perfect here.
  13. Maybe I'm used to HD and certainly XBLA Game Room shows Atari games with perfect pixel displays, but how do you guys have your 7800 hooked up? I recently got one from Best Electronics since I pre-ordered the expansion module. I used the Universal Box thing and the picture is fuzzy as heck. So next thing I did was buy the gold coaxial connector from Radio Shack and some gold phono cables from monoprice and the picture still remains fuzzy. The next step I guess is to AV mod the 7800 which is making this one expensive retro system if I add the system + module and now a mod. I have a Japanese AV Famicom on my LCD TV and it looks good, so I'm hoping modding will do the same for the 7800. Does anyone have a crystal clear picture and if so, how did you do it? The only 2 ways I know are XBOX Game Room or playing on the PC. I guess it bothers me because I will not be able to enjoy the new expansion module games that come out. Boy, when we were kids, I dont know how this was not noticed.
  14. I went to Radio Shack and they didn't have any RF cables. I'm getting confused with RF and RCA. Can someone be kind enough to post a link on radio shack's website or monoprice (preferred) of which gold cables to buy? This way I know exactly what to get. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the replies guys, I will also check out getting a better RF cable. I looked up Longhorn Engineer but he wants $100 for the mod, that's like buying another 7800. If I did that, plus almost $100 for the expansion module coming out soon, that's $300 for a 7800, crazy, haha. What bothers me is that with that expansion module coming out soon, I will not enjoy the games as much because of this kinda of picture. If any one of you play Microsoft Game Room, that's EXACTLY how I would like the picture to be or similiar to it. No fuzz whatsoever. Perfect pixels.
  16. I finally got a 7800 from Best Electronics and it came with the Atari Universal Switch Box which is supposed to be better than the older one. Anyway, everything works but the picture (maybe I'm used to HD) isn't all that great, fuzzy looking. Is this how it supposed to be? I know some guy on ebay offers a video mod service to change it to A/V, has anyone tried it? Here's the guy, you can also DIY. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290476176546

  19. Posted on my twitter, sent an email to Kotaku.com and posted in the retrogamers.net forum (which might I add has one of the best magazines out there, Retro Gamer).
  20. Ordered and paid in full, now to hunt for a 7800, haha.
