  1. I just aquired this controller, but no game, can I test it on some other game? Any idea what this thing is worth? It is availble for sale/trade.
  2. Now if we can just talk Mouser into stocking it... Digikey has 449 in stock, but $3 a pop! Anyway, i'm emailing in an order for bare boards, redesigned or not.
  3. Well back to my original question, do you have a stash of 6400s? I'd like to order a bunch of bare pcbs but only if you have 6400s to go with them, how many can you put aside for me?
  4. Thats crap, I looked for a substitute through their "find alternative" and came up empty. Just looked for fms6410, no stock on hand of those either, unless you want to order 1790 at $1.23 a pop from the factory. Now what?
  5. Anyone familiar with the inner workings of the Arcadia? I'll attach the schematic. It clearly has RGB, but also color burst and csync. U6 is a hex inverter for R,G, and B. U4 is a multiplexer for RGB and CBF. After the m/p, inverted RGB and csync are thrown into the signal to the r/f module. I tried to pull composite from this, but failed and not sure why. Anyway the alure of using rgb to output component svid and composite are too great not to ask for help in accomplishing!
  6. LHE, Tried to reach you via email a couple times in the last week or so, but I wanted to place an order. My issue is the lack of fms6400 availability from Mouser or Digikey, do you have a stash of them? Also sent a huge email about other mouser parts on your web page that are no longer available or are cheaper options, but never heard back about any of that either... Please reply soon! I need to mod, can't mod without parts, need your help for parts!
  7. I started a thread earlier wanting to know which ic in the gemini was the TIA, pretty sure which one it is, but its not the same pinout as an atari TIA. At least I dont think so after soldering up the longhorn board to the pins as if it were a 2600 TIA, no video or audio through the mod except hum and nothing on r/f either. I found no datasheet for the 73192, but this was interesting. These guys are dumping original hardware for emulation, I think that would mean some idea of the ic's pinout, am I wrong? One of the members has a gemini, but has yet to dump it apparently and its been over 3 years... Anyone know if a patent search would turn up pinouts? Unless someone has any info I will have to start looking at 2600 schematics and trying to figure out which pin is which on the gemini, but i'm not in a rush to start that project as I have others to finish first.
  8. Its brand name is "circuit writer" from caig labs inc. I think I got it off ebay. Here's one: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300485697943
  9. Cried wolf too soon, I diagnosed two other spots on the flex that weren't conducting and put ink on them and now it works! FINALLY!
  10. I'm close to done with longhorn modding a 2600jr, but the damn select reset buttons dont work. I cleaned the contact areas of the flex circuit and super glued the ends together, but it didn't work... I took a closer look and the traces were lifted/removed in a couple area of the main flex. I tried conductive ink, but thats not working either... Has anyone come up with a completely better solution, like micro switches? I haven't really researched it much yet, just thought i'd ask real quick.
  11. Here's an inside look at how I did it. I crushed the old r/f jack and removed it forcibly, then used a unibit to open up the hole in the bracket left behind. The jack is a push in type from mouser, I use it on nes-101 mods as well. Only comes in grey so I just used a permanent marker to blacken it. Got the cord off ebay, 1/8 headphone x RWY rca.
  12. I have both and a scope, just not real proficient with one yet. What do I look for?
  13. This is exactly why everyone says the gemini can be modded just like a 2600, but can't confirm it.
  14. I agree, but won't be sure till I try I guess... This is the problem, no one seems to know and its no where to be found on the net, surely i'm not the first to a/v mod a gemini!?!?
  15. I have a gemini I want to put the longhorn av mod into, but am unsure of which chip is the TIA for sure or if its trully the same as the 2600 TIA?
