Flea Markets are the way to go here in Fl. I have found. Goodwill is pretty weak in my area. Since my damn atari wont produce a picture to save its soul I'm hoping to pick up one at the giant flea market. If any of you boys need to unload a 2600 let me know, I'll snatch it up.

That was quite the post, you seem more enthusastic than even normal. What wonderous people inhabit this universe! All that shit aside. Hail all. I have nearly dissavowed all online RPG's such as DAOC, EQ and the like in favor of games from a simpler era. When game play was valued over graphics because, well graphics were hard to come by. Tommorrow I will plug in a power suppply, if all does not go well. Someone will have to lead me to someone who will sell me a good 2600.

thanks for the welcome. I will look into the sparking. I'm at work now and vaugely remember a gentle spark. But i can't be sure. As far as the RF switch, I have heard that its a waste of time and a direct connector is much more efficient.

I am new to the board, I nabbed an Atari 2600 from my Girlfriends Uncle who swore it worked last time it was plugged in. (like 1981). It came with some games, so I'm pretty excited, grab some friends, some beer and proceed to have ZERO PICTURE. I have a Manual RF switch, its plugged in. and I basically have nothing. It seems as if its not even getting power. Any body fix something like this before? On a side note, ADVENTURE is the best game on planet earth. Yet I dont own it, i recently got outbid on ebay on it. If anyone wants to sell ADVENTURE let me know.
