  1. Actually except Activision no other 3rd party company even entered the market before 1982. Imagic (03/1982), Parker Brothers (06/1982) and all the others (Mattel, Coleco, Tigervision, Arcadia, 20th Fox, Spectravision, Data Age, ...) released their first game in 1982. The market was red hot in 1982. 1982 was the cause for the crash, not the time it happened.
  2. I heard David Hasselhoff has a proto of the original game from 1983.
  3. I'm putting a chronological list of the first release of the publishers together: 09/1977, Atari, see launch titles ??/1978, Sears 07/1980, Activision, Dragster and others 12/1981, Apollo, Skeet Shoot 03/1982, Imagic, Trick Shot / Demon Attack / Star Voyager 06/1982, Parker Brothers, Empire Strikes Back 08/1982, Coleco, Donkey Kong 08/1982, Tigervision, King Kong 09/1982, Spectravision, Tapeworm / Nexar 09/1982, 20th Fox, First 4 games in the original packaging (Worm War I, Beany Bopper, Fast Eddie, Deadly Duck) 10/1982, Data Age, first 5 games with the DA**** serial 12/1982, CBS, Wizard of Wor / Gorf 04/1983, SEGA, Tac-Scan 09/1983, Telesys, Coco Nuts / Fast Food 10/1983, Avalon Hill, first 3 games (Death Trap, London Blitz, Wall Ball) Still need to add a few more companies. Any corrections? What's interesting is that Apollo released its first games before Imagic. So technically Apollo and not Imagic is the second independent publisher after Activision?!?! Which game was first in the stores, Donkey Kong or King Kong?
  4. You don't seem to understand the difference between a seller and a reseller who no one needs. A seller buys either stuff cheap or for a discount in huge lots and then sells at market price. The difference between his buying price and market price is his profit. He offers a service by making items available. A reseller buys an already available item at market price and then tries to rip off a buyer. Such a reseller doesn't offer any service.
  5. I heard it got sucked into a black hole abroad from where no escape is possible
  6. Idiot with too much money. A brand new Marauder just sold for $79.
  7. schooltranny again: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251673779396 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 131384632731
  8. It was on eBay for several hours, so everyone had the chance to grab the lot. It's not like I had inflight internet. I have to say I was a little bit surprised that no one else had bought it.
  9. Those are not Atari but classic NES protectors. I can send you a few.
  10. You guys had a fair chance. I was on a business trip and was sitting in an airplane when it was listed.
  11. I'm using these inlays and protectors for my lose cartridges. The protectors have almost the exact same size as the boxes, only 1mm difference. You can put the manual on the back. All cartridges except the V-cases fit into the inlays.
  12. Seems this isn't X-Man on a Atari 2600 but a Commodore 128. Which game is it?
  13. Also if you have multiple items worth $500+ please don't forget to post your address. Thanks
  14. Current commercial in Switzerland:
  15. That's a different case than the one they use to grade items. This one has a sliding bottom, so you can open it. It's more a protector. Not bad, but too expensive on their site. Would be nice if someone made such a case for $10.
  16. This is absolutely not acceptable. I would expect that he ships you a new, flat box at his expenses.
