I actually got my copy of Pitfall from Radio Shack in 2001 I think. I had an ancient gift certificate that was about to expire ($20.00), so I figured I might as well blow it on a real new Atari game.
They had Intellivision, Colecovision (including DINA systems), Atari 2600, Lynx, Jaguar, and I think some Atari 5200 and 7800 games too. I even remember seeing one or two Timex-Sinclair titles, and possibly some TI-99, TRS-80, C64, and Atari 400/800. I think Radio Shack stopped selling classic games around the same time Telegames USA went defunct. They did have much of the same inventory, so I suspect Radio Shack's stuff came from Telegames.
I still remember when I was at a Radio Shack with my parents in the mid-90s (i was 8 or 9), and finding one of those catalogs and thinking it was amazing that these ancient Atari games from beyond the mists of time were available for sale. Somehow, I was fascinated, and I asked my parents if I could have an Atari (they said no). I'd never played one, I'd never seen one, but somehow I knew I needed one.
I miss those catalogs.
