  1. Gemsticks are only 4 bucks here. https://www.atari2600.com/item--Gemstick--PROD5665.html
  2. Is the pole position stickers and poster really that rare. If so there are a ton of sealede copies on ebay dirt cheap. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200173843863
  3. I remember playing this at a friends house when I was a kid. Originals were used. Never had any third party. But it was a little uncomfortable to hold. I recently got a sears version of ebay. I use an nes dogbone controller with that. Yes I figured out how to make that work. Much better. B button works as fire button. And its wireless.
  4. No it varies. Sometimes black and sometimes color. If I take the game out and reinsert it I get color. And sometimes black no matter how many times I do that. And I have 2 copies of qbert refuse to play. Black screen only. Very rarely play. Maybe bad cartridge slot. Or bad rd coax ports maybe as my cable and dvd player work fine. The VCR also used to be black and white. But for now it is color. At least last night I got color. Hook one end of a coax cable into back of tv and the other end into (out to tv) on back of vcr. Then the 4 port switch box from the wire that sticks out to the back of the vcr (antenna in) Fire up the 5200 and get a clean picture no more black and white. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
  5. I have 4 port model. You see the problem is tv only shows black and white. But cable att uverse and dvd player look fine. Only vcr and old antiques show black and white. And only on big screen 65". Smaller tv 20 inches look fine. But 5200 too picky sometimes color and sometimes black and white. So I thought cable might be bad. But looks mine is soldered to the motherboard. Took some photos so you can see what a 4 port model looks like inside. And no * in serial number.
  6. The outside is fine only the innards are rusting
  7. What do you mean? You mean the enviorment it was kept in?
  8. Btw was just wondering did anybody ever make wireless controllers for 5200 with keypad besides using masterplay.
  9. This is a fake label. I've seen some of these on a design website - someone knocked them up for fun. - infact if you go to the link on the label www.penneydesign.com you will probably see them... and there is the proof - a website in 1978????!!!! Yeah, I know it's fake, just thought it was funny. Some of the screenshots on the fake box covers are closer to NES graphics than VCS graphics, though. -B Sure looks cool though even if it is fake.
  10. Top loading nes was small. But atari wise probably not small. It wouldn't fit.
  11. The original was the bast and matched the home page.
  12. I took it apart 1 more time now it is better. The problem is the rollers are super rusty. One is smooth left and right. Up and down is stuck now. Not as free. Do anybody sell new roller. Or maybe I'll try some clr tomorrow.
  13. Took some pictures for those to see incase anyone else is wondering how it looks inside. I cleaned the ball with soap and water. The rollers looked kiinda rusty so not cleanable. I think I made it worse. Doesn't go let now only don, up and right. Any here are some photos.
  14. There is no right place to put this so I'm just going to ask. What happened to the forums? I liked the old look better.
  15. I know but if there are any moving parts inside that can fall out or are not secured. I won't know how to put everything back together. But I'll give it a try.
  16. But I don't want to break it. I can always y it and use it for at least the start pause and reset. Maybe does anyone have pictures of a trackball opened? Or maybe I can try some compressed air?
  17. I have a trackball but not mint and looks a little dusty. Couldn't get one game (I forget which one) to move right only left freely. No more 5200 trackballs left on ebay though so no way to test. Is trackball even worth much anyway?
  18. Not a bad deal 30 minutesd left though. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270716969946 Or it is a lot but 50 games are probably worth it. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110661238878
  19. https://www.atari2600.com/item--Video-Game-Brain--PROD1546.html
  20. Maybe after all these years you mod guys can make a super 2600 with 4gb ram 1tb hd to hold all the games and supped up graphics. But even back would of probably costed too much to add more than 128k of ram amd better graphics.
  21. Yes sometimes. When were we kids I spilled water all over my 5200 and ten years after pulling out of storage it still worked. So sometimes you get lucky.
  22. Will these also work on 2600? If so I use nes pads on 2600 also as mentioned in the 2600 section. Should work on 7800 also. And it is wireless, plus no rewiring.
  23. if you need new buttons. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 390282604060
