They still have it at target for 300 I can't believe it.
But according to google.
As a result, Sony plans to continue supporting the PlayStation 4, right, until 2025. (Sony Corp.) In Sony's latest financial presentation, the company formalized its plan to cease producing games for the PlayStation 4 by 2025
So 5 is probably better for only 200 extra.

I just bought one of these, and should get it tomorrow afternoon... pretty excited. I'm really looking forward to being able to play Atari 5200 games. Big thing for me was during the Christmas of (some year in the 80s), my parents bought an Atari 5200... but the joysticks didn't work, so they returned it. We only got to play a few games on it, and I remember Pac Man was unbelievably better than the Atari 2600, along with some other games (like Moon Patrol). My mom never went back to get a new one, just returned it and that was that... I was so bummed... so the 5200 was the one that "got away!"
There are some good deals on ebay.

I would have no problem making an adapted version that matches your specifications. Just let me know. I typically work with black as a color, but I can do other colors as well.
thanks @timdu for the vouching
This is the one I make. If you'd like one let me know.
No need. The green one is good enough. But thanks anyway.

But the green one here has wider spacing.

Saw one at costco today. Actuall got to play withbit. Menu was a little confusing but the controller felt solid and the games look nice.

Awesome thanks, yes it was plugged in to a working outlet. Hopefully this faulty power supply did not damage my console!
Thanks for all the help guys, just ordered the power supply CrossBow suggested.I got a universal DYNEX from BESTBUY several years ago. It had the tip for the Atari 2600 and JR. And my Sears telegrams light 6 also uses the same plug. It's only 500ma. But all 3 use 500ma if I am not mistaken. I will sei f I can fin a pic.

My meter is broken right now. Don't remember where my other meter is.

12v is fine because an actual 7800 PSU puts out about 13v without a load and drops down to about 11- 10v into the actual console. The voltage regulator in the system can handle 12v without issue. Just build up a little more heat than usual.
The amperage is also fine as the original is only a 1Amp rated output supply. So this one being 1.5A just means it is rated to put out .5A more than the OEM. The console will ONLY draw the amount of Amperage it actually needs. PSUs do not shove the full current to the systems.
but...
BUT if I'm reading that label right, the polarity on that Net Bit supply is reversed to what goes into the 7800. If looking at their pic on the adapter indicates the polarity on the plug itself, then it is backwards. If it is indicating the polarity with respect to the actual device it plugs into, then it it would be right. But I'm pretty sure that diagram is depicting the plug on the adapter and the polarity is reversed. So...NO you should not use that PSU without modifying the wiring on the PSU to reverse the polarity or somehow modifying the 7800 console.
Where does it say polarity in the photo there? And this one is + polarity. And what polarity is the 7800 by default?

Yeah I agree with M-S. I don’t understand how you missed some of the biggest games of the arcade for two decades. And it doesn’t end of SF2X. You also have the Alpha /Zero games on this, too. A lot of big IPs originated on this hardware. It’s quite famous. As famous as Neo Geo for its influence.
My childhood was NES and ATARI 5200. And one friend had a 2600 and one had a SNES. And some had Sega Genesises. Aside from that it wasn't much else. These titles were not on there.

I have not heard of these.
Marvel Super Heroes, Darkstalkers, Vampire Savior
Aliens vs Predator, Marvel vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Cyberbotsx
Street fighter was on other platforms. But I have not heard of the rest.

I ordered an AirTV OTA network receiver a few days ago. Arrived yesterday and the first thing that caught my eye was the plug in its (12V) AC adapter. It's a perfect match for the 7800 AC plug (well, except for the clip to hold it on the AirTV).
Bit surprised to see this plug on a new device considering that outside of the 7800 I've never seen it elsewhere in all these years.
I saw a net bit power supply just like this on Ebay. But my official 7800 supply and atariguide supply are both 9v. So 12v will be too much for the Atari 7800 won't it? And not sure what polarity this is? And 1.5amp is enough?

Found this too.

Thanks there are some pics here too but not as detailed.

I have both versions. The second version is the only only one good for the Super Nintendo JR. The second version has 3 tabs inside. Last pic is how most version 2s look. As for compatibility don't know. If I can find a cheap copy of the game somewhere I can double check.
