  1. Keypad numbers 1-2-3- equal L-E-O . As you move through the map, each time you find a letter you are shown at the bottom of the screen where it falls in the 3 space random code. The hardest thing about the game is remembering the letter sequence as you enter the failsafe code,[ especially when you are under fire from several angles]. Once you enter the code correct, the countdown stops . You may want to use the keypad card at first to keep you on track as it is easy to confuse L-E-O as you rush to enter the code. , I no longer use the card on this one as I try to keep them mint on the card tree if I can and fiddling around with them gets old.
  2. Thanks Guys ! Last time we played this game I came up way short, but fully had the games quirks down pat by the end of the round [ didn't play it again until this round] . Last time out, I slacked week one and ran out of time the second which reminded me of Astrochase this season. For a game that I never paid any mind to as a kid, [ I've said this before] WOW, the HSC has once again forced me to PLAY another gem in the catalog. This round, I felt really good going in , but when our champ put up his great score mid stream, it sort of let the wind out of my sails to a degree. That, coupled with not having a round win and a few near win misses this season ,made me question why I was here & lit a big fire under my a$$ !!! I actually use a few different methods depending on the stage of the game to enter codes. I treat it like a repeating puzzle really. Code entry is obviously important , but how you play the turrets firing on you is the entire game. I went through 8 lives at the end on my high game. Once I established solid game play & not making stupid mistakes, my score jumped dramatically in a hurry. The key is being consistent in all facets.. I forgot my main CX-52 at our cottage 2 weeks ago and ended up using my backup which has never seen ANY comp play.. Yikes, What a mind F&$K ! Oddly enough, though my wife thought I was nuts 4 years ago for spending a small fortune putting my 5200/7800 collection together, jumping" small head" first back into the world of Atari , she called the round for me on Friday and was silly close in calling my final score. I love this stuff and I'm just happy to be here playing with you guys ! Off to another tough one !
  3. I honestly believe you need both..
  4. 65,900 Close to breaking my best on this one BTW: Beauty score champ !
  5. 194,900 Still a good ways off of my best, but I'm still plugging away at it
  6. 143,800 Oddly enough my personal best falls well short of this.. My trial run was a pulling teeth and hair match for some reason..
  7. I checked and see 8 was the cut off.. I will stay with my final score prior.
  8. 42 saved and pulling my hair out on this one.. My chopper flies for sh!t.... Time to calibrate. This is way harder than 7800.
  9. I'd kind of like to see these multi game rounds dropped to only 2 games and those 2 being vastly different from each other.
  10. Zylon , thanks I'll have to watch closer as I know Ive hit over 200 while playing.
  11. In this economy ? I am buying lots that size for $75 total with regularity. Lots never do well. My honest advice is to piece it out individually,. It may take you longer to move it all, but it is alwasy best to seperate things as not everyone wants tripkles and quadruples of common games. you may find someone willing to pay well over market for one thing or another.
  12. A question on speed bugs. These just happen ? I see no icons that pop up.
