  1. I remember when my brother got his * 4 port for Christmas one year. He received the carrying case as well, he took it to all of his friends house to show off and play.

The case purchase was pretty smart on my folks part,as it meant they weren't always the entertainment house !

Ahh the good ole days !

  2. Weekend/last price drop to include shipping/PP [ lower 48 only] > $ 275.00

Heading to the storage unit to pick it up today, if it doesn't go this weekend , I'm gonna pull this ad and ebay listing and take it to the cottage to use.

    thanks :)

  3. Atari really got things right with regard to the cosmetics during the 5200 era

I just don't need or really have the room for what I have or had.

Man, I love this stuff, but at some point you simply have to make a decision of what is really your passion collecting wise.

Mainly using my multicarts to play these days, so boxed games never see the light of day, only need Bounty bob Strikes back boxed, I have it loose.

otherwise , all the doubles , triples, are long gone.

I have a mint boxed 52 carrying case , so this one can go, and it's priced less than I paid.

Next I'm gonna off all but my Activision boxed & loose 2600 games, May keep a few oddities, but I never play the 2600 stuff and it takes up too much space.

  4. Maybe a throw a kit in one of my beater 52's to see how it improves and then go from there.

BTW, I still use a VCR for things that have not been converted or were never re-released on DVD..

The last really good VCR year was '87 for Panasonic, I have a great picture, but then again I'm still running CRT's, and have NO plans of ever changing to a flat screen until the get a genuine 320 refresh rate or my last crt finally blows.

Thanks for the info , I suppose I have a new mission !

  5. schoolgirlinashortdress definitely flips purchases, but they have the right to do so, IMO. I've sold rare items to them, and they pay promptly without any hassles. Works for me, even if I know the item is going to be flipped. I'm pretty confident in my own judgment of values, so if they think they can make a meaningful profit flipping from me, they are welcome to try.

Sometimes selling on AA is not worth it to me, with all of the haggling, changing minds, etc. of nervous buyers. All of my transactions with schoolgirlinashortdress have been smooth and professional.

    I couldn't agree more.

  6.

If I kept running the regular HSC, I'd have to make it monthly rounds as there are many weeks where I either don't have time for a serious run at the games, or just don't feel like it. I would be fine with continuing to run our only OE challenge on AA. Perhaps I'll make that a monthly game while the regular HSC is operated by our new mod.

I kind of like that idea, as there are times I simply can't get game play in during a one or two week game.

Then again , I realize that I need to make time for gaming these days, or I find that I just don't play.

Weird, as I finally have my gaming room done and I'm not even playing much the past couple years, and have been selling stuff off.

  7. Thank you, Zylon. You've done a great job. I wish I could compete more with my limited time and break all the records :-) I nominate Centipede.

I wish I had more time also, during the past 3 seasons , it seems I have less and less time to dedicate to the HSC as well as the hobby and the board overall.

I can probably squeak an OE round in...My nomination >

    GREMLINS !

  8. Hmmm, and I thought I was doing a decent job all these years.

    Zylon,

Thanks for doing such a great job , you really took the 5200 HSC to the next level !

I can really appreciate the endless time you've spent monitoring our scores , policing the rounds , as well as the interesting ways to keep us interested with bonus point/games !

I also want to thank you for the help you have given me over the years, your help and advice is sincerely appreciated and I hope you won't be going away !

  9. Weird label, but enjoy !

This game fixed is really nice, Got my fixed version right here on AA, the bummer of this game is No Evil Otto voice at the beginning or end, and no AHHHH , when you fall into the abyss,

otherwise game play is pretty good.

If you don't have the C64 version this is a nice alternative.

  10. Which do you think is better for this one: the stock analog controller or a digital alternative?

The stock controller gives you more control over your patterns especially when in tight qtrs. the 2 buttons on one side of it is also better for fending off your adversary. I find that a comp pro stick is a bit tough to control.
