  1. Man, I would love to do that. I haven't been to Wyoming in so long...never been to Cheyenne!
  2. @Video casey's gold is *not* out yet. it's coming out through Audacity Games and they are taking their time. It's def coming though.
  3. I remember playing that at the arcade! So great that it's *finally* coming to the 2600!
  4. all those lawyers are either in house or on retainer, so the money for all intents and purposes, is already spent. I would see that as making a deal more likely, rather than less.
  5. I nominate the speakerhat!
  6. I am using a laptop and if i roll over the joysticks, I see the rank.
  7. Absolutely. It was clear that the previous regime thought, "we have this video game related IP...how can we make money?" while the current regime (appears) to think "we have this video game related IP...how can we best develop new video game products to make money?" Those are two *very* different approaches. One is solely focused on profit, which can lead to some weird outcomes (a video game company entering the hospitality market, a steel company becoming an investment holding company, etc). The other is more focused on developing products that satisfy a particular market niche, and growing the market by cultivating it. I think that the second approach makes a lot of sense if you have time on your side and realistic revenue goals. If there's no need to strike it rich immediately (because of, for example, self-funding, or other adequate capitalization), it's possible to create reliable income levels, and build on that base. Further, putting in the time to develop product and deepen relationships with the market, can make it easier for the company to branch out into unusual or unexpected directions. Time will tell how this all works out!
  8. Moonsweeper. Then (I think) dragonstomper.
  9. if he approaches this from a "mission driven" perspective rather than solely a profit driven one, that would be a welcome change.
  10. my lord, is that darlene love?
  11. now I want to see a game with the dog and the bird!
  12. Question 1: you've been doing this for five years. do you foresee a time when you won't want to do it? have you (or will you) talk to anyone about handing it off? Question 2: do you have any thoughts about how you would handle the show if it grew any more? it's still at a stage where everyone in the chat "knows" each other (I think), and where the chat is slow enough to be an integral part of the show (which is really nice for building a sense of community). Any thoughts on how that feeling might be preserved in the future? Question 3: Darcy runs a game shop. Any thoughts about doing an annual atari day there? Question 4: not a question but we miss aerlan!
  13. this looks great. always amazed by the talent of people in the community here!
  14. If I remember correctly, the prices on their shells was very high. I think that Al is trying to go for something more cost effective.
  15. If atari age raises the prices, I won't be able to buy carts anymore!
  16. This is dumb, but I'm not seeing the post number on each post. I think that everyone else picked up anything else that I might have noticed. Thanks for your work, @Albert!
