Yes, me and my kids bought the last Pitfall cart at the fair this year and was playing till 4 a.m. Very nice job! I never new the TI could manage so well with all the action on the screen. Clearly my best cart game in my families collection. I like that you posted the codes, would realy like to start learning how to program on the TI other then Basic and Extended Basic.
Ok after using Advanced Diagnostics testing the drive, it state that there is no data on disk during test. This is not true for I put a format on with a file name. Besides the other drive goes threw the test fine. Cataloging old disk that had my TI Write doc's just fine in disk one but disk 2 has the disk as not initialized. Any ideas what part of the drive faled?
Looks like external drive may have died, make a of nose when seeking head. Got out of DM2 and put extB cart with Advanced Diagnostics in Dsk 1 trying to test out why I can't format to disk 2. Rpm speed 290.5 to 300.2, That seems a good normal. Testing with same floppy the other drive preformated. Already tride the other to disks in DM2. Testing further.....No luck. This is a Texas Instrument 5 1/4 drive model No. PHP1850C. It seems the read/write arm is having trouble seeking and making a vibration noise that seems loud. By the above number is there a reference to see what style or format that drive is, only because I used that drive to back up my personal library not the SS/SD floppy in the expBox.
Catalog disk functioning. Found two more disks. External floppy two check. Powers up, grabbing a sizzers. This should be a DS DD drive I'm cutting a hole on other side and by center ring. Forgot how many tracks per side?
My printer hooked up just like you said in the blue jack, my old modem is hooker in the other jack, have not tried modem yet but no land line here anyway.
Ok Wi Fi is still down here but I could I phone to your email but I use to do
List "pio"
And it wold work, going to try, ribon feels dry, if I had a little WD 40 I could redisolve the Ink but dont have that.
Not working?
Ok back in the day my 9 pin Seikio print got nocked to the floor and blew a part by brother . He got me a panasonic KX-P2123 but I put it on my PC not the TI so I don't know if it will work. It had a color upgrade in it also but only have black carriage here.
Still doing good. Used tape drive and pulled up programs up and ran fine, Joy Stick Draw, and Close Encounters of the Simon Kind. Lost some time playing so games.
TI running of thumb, removed after load and still running. Classic99 runs off ram alone. . Something a little funny left TI up on boot screen and a co work tried to get on my workstation but could figure out what was going on with computer. Had window over max and hid the window edges just off side of screen. Ya I'm ready for programming tips, book I started back with is, TI-99/4A Sound and Graphics by Raymond J. Herold
