Wow! This annoucement has me more excited than all the other releases. I loved to be insulted by the arcade game and this is beyond anything I expected from the 2600. Thanks.

O.K., I took a look at the Thrust entry and see it lists both controllers. I guess that answers my question and now it becomes a suggestion to update the listing. Shouldn't there be a Thrust Plus listing in the database?
Thomas, I see Thrust + is going to be sold at CGE. Does this include the extra contoller? When will this be shipped to those of us who preordered a while back?
-
Can the database list more than one controller, or is it limited to one? For example, Beat 'em and Eat 'em/Lady in Wading shows the Paddle, which works for Beat 'em, but Lady requires a Joystick. If the database can handle only one, maybe something could be said in the game notes.
It seems like there were some games written to work with either the paddles or a joystick, I can't think of any examples off the top of my head though.

Well, I've been holding off posting this until my trade lists were updated, (about 99% accurate). Here goes:
In order to pack as efficiently as possible, I need to know what items in my trade lists people are interested in.
Rare stuff: NTSC Master Builder and SwordQuest Waterworld Comic.
Would Like: Waterworld Cartridge, Crazy Climber, Halloween /I, Miner 2049er /I, Mr. Do!'s Castle, Survival Island, Sword of Saros,or Up n' Down /I. I would consider trading each of these for multiple lower rarity items also, as well as combining them to trade up for a higer rarity.
If you go to my home page and look through the lists, I would be glad to bring whatever you might be interested in. I have a bunch of extra manuals also.
Is there anyone that needs carts to reuse for creating a new release? I would be glad to donate common carts for a copy of the final product.
Is there anyone that collects for intellivision, Odessy 2 (SP?), or NES. I don't, but I have some items I need to get rid of. I picked up 3 Odessy carts this weekend with boxes and manuals. I can't remember the names right now,(One was Pick Axe Pete), and the boxes are somewhat mushed. I also have a sealed Intellivision Night Stalker that came in a box of Atari items as well as some NES Manuals.
I'd be glad to look through other people's lists that are attending also.
Looking forward to geeking out in the desert.

CRAP!!! I can't participate. My plane leaves at 3:00
Same here!

I'll take one. "Ed Mann" will be fine.

This is my first time going to this conference and need some advice on what type of clothes to bring. I need to pack as lightly as possible to leave room for items picked up at the show.
If anyone went last year, was it acceptable to wear shorts? Was the place super air conditioned as to make this option uncomfortable?

[WHY, exactly, are you bombing this canyon? (Or more accurately, creating this canyon with your bombs.) What is it supposed to achieve? How could it possibly accomplish anything in a war? (I would assume that a war is somehow involved.)
Is it just me, or does this simply make NO sense???
I grew up near an Air Force base and they had a bombing range for practice. I always thought that this was what Canyon Bomber was about.

I know exactly which auction your talking about. I bid on it also, obivously not enough.
I normally skip any auction that just says swordquest, but for some reason I was drawn to this one. -
Cassidy, I'm interested in your loose Waterworld. I have everything but the actual cartridge. Click on my web page link and go to the video game link and then the trade list and let me know if there is anything your interested in that I could bring to CGE.

I checked my three copies, and they all had the initials.

There is and always will be people that need to win an argument. The "Fart on your Hobby" technique is a favorite among the immature as an attempt to pull the rug out from under you.
We've all experienced the argument over a toy where someone doesn't want to share and when they are forced to they say, "I really didn't want that anyway".
My response to this technique is usually silence. Since I enjoy my hobby and the person believes it is a waste of time, we have nothing in common, so I move on. Maybe I'm older than the average AtariAge member and I've been hearing the same put downs since I started gaming in 1975, so I just tune them out.

Do you (or anyone else) know what percentage of Missile Command carts don't have RF's initials?
Room34:
I don't have any idea what percentage don't have the initials. My guess would be that the number is low and would only be copies purchased in later runs. This game was quite popular and I think most of the copies sold would have been at the initial release time. I know I bought mine as soon as it came out.

Maybe ther're thinking of Rob Fulop's initials in Missile Command. Here is a link to a copy of an interview he did many years ago.

FYI, the seller of the BC Quest changed the title and description from when I originally posted the message. It definitely said "Atari 2600" in the title and description. Someone must of pointed it out to them, or they read this forum.

I enjoy most of the hacks, but please people, stop using Space Invaders.

I'm not sure what system these are really for, but I'm pretty sure it isn't the 2600.

I have several 7800 carts with the upside down end label. I think they just had poor quality control. If your a conspiracy theorist though, it seems to be more frequent on the Nintendo games.

Well, apparently my memory is completely wrong about the rotary controller.
I'll have to swing by the old Putt Putt arcade to see if they still have the unit I used to play. -
Added my Vote.

The driving controller would be perfect, just like the arcade spinner.
It's great to have more than one game that uses these controllers. Thanks to Thomas, for fixing Sprintmaster.

Not to throw another wet blanket on the party
, but I don't think Atari/Infogames has the rights to Double Dragon. -
Until recently, I used Netscape 4.x, but the performance on this site as well as others was so bad, I finally gave in to the Microsoft jurgernaut.

Speaking of the Out of Control auction, I was going to bid on it until I read at the bottom that the manual & box were not included as in the top description. Do you just not have these items, or selling them seperately?
