  1. After reading through this thread yesterday I decided to give the Evercade VS a shot. I ordered the premium pack and it should be here this weekend and will test it out with a gaming friend next week. Are there any 4 player simultaneous games available on it yet?
  2. Q*bert 1A/1A = 16,950 Carnival 1A/1A = 26,740 I've always struggled with the controls on Q*bert, so it is what it is.
  3. That's a good question. I think it was about 30 minutes per bag, so about 7 hours of build time.
  4. This set really is fantastic! Here are a few pics of the completed build.
  5. 42,490 I haven't played this game in forever. I loved playing it back in the day and I'm pretty sure my old high score was above 100k. I just didn't have much time, which will be the theme for this season.
  6. Finished putting this together over the weekend. It looks really nice. I generally don't collect Lego, but made an exception for this set. The only other set I have is an old Formula 1 set I bought 20 years ago and still haven't assembled.
  7. Stealth is still better than escort missions. In Stray are you having trouble with the apartment section or the factory? The factory is all about just using the environment to block the search lights. The apartment requires a route that goes across the courtyard as well as using a couple boxes. I also found that I can run through the danger zone and if you jump in a box before getting shot they will cool down and go back to their route in fairly short order.
  8. I've been listening to hours of music on YouTube and haven't heard anything that matches yet, but today I stumbled on this guys page: https://www.youtube.com/c/boyjohn/videos?view=0&sort=dd&flow=grid Holy Cow! I think whatever we're looking for will be somewhere in his 13 years of uploads.
  9. Probably too late for this season, but one homebrew game I've always enjoyed is Go Fish!
  10. Although it isn't perfect, R really sounds like a slowed down version of A-Hunting we will Go / The Farmer in the Dell. I did find a couple examples where a line was repeated twice at the end (Lisa Loeb version), but not three yet.
  11. Converting to USD makes it $103.42. Still to high, but I think the big retailers usually discount it more.
  12. If this goes to the next round and I somehow survive, I'll have to forfeit as I won't have time for a few weeks. For this round I met my goal of improving scores although my hand is hurting from about a 100 attempts at Skiing. Skiing game 9 = 1:19.81 Galaxian game 9 = 15,360 Superbreakout games 5 & 7 = 390 + 627 = 1,017
  13. And maybe someone will attempt to make that April Fools Doom game eventually.
  14. Gravitar game 5 = 97,000 Managed to improve my season score but still get wrecked when I reach the invisible walls section.
  15. Assembloids = 3,820 Still not very good at this one, but managed some improvement over my earlier score.
  16. Reactor = 20,575 Reading the manual paid off. During the earlier round I didn't realize the objective was to destroy the rods on the sides. I was just going around bumping everything into the walls.
  17. Aardvark = 58,500 I was just hoping to improve on my score from earlier in the competition and managed to double it. Now on to Reactor.
  18. Congratulations to Kermit for another win and to Vocelli for another fun HSC! Here is my take on the categories: Favorites: Asteroids - First played this at a 7-11 and still enjoy it no matter what system it's on. Aardvark - An outstanding conversion that is very fun to play. Most Surprising: I don't know if I appreciated Parker Bros games back in the day, but both of these are actually fun to play. Reactor Popeye Worst: If both of these had better control options they would probably be ok. Guardian Smurfs
  19. 30,600 I remember buying this game after the crash in a bargain bin. I tried playing it and couldn't get past the first fence and just assumed it was broken and haven't played it again until now. I probably should have read the instructions back then.
  20. Reactor = 5,909 This game is actually kind of fun. Is the Trackball Version fair game? Not that I have the time to find my trackballs.
  21. Sorry in advance to my partner! I don't have much free time at the moment and my paddles were pretty bad on this game. Guardian = 21,575
  22. Was hoping to get to 1,000, maybe later. 892 total = 279 game 5 + 613 game 7
  23. Mowed lawns all summer in 77 to earn enough to buy a small motorcycle that I wanted. Before I could make the purchase I walked into a Sears and saw the Atari and walked out with the system and several games. I still don't have a motorcycle, but I still have the Atari and a Crosman 760 BB gun I bought that year.
