  1. All 3 of these games are great on the 2600! Unfortunately I don't have much time to practice so I'll put my first effort up for participation points. Aardvark = 25,420 Raptor = 189 Stratovox = 10,650
  2. They should really go after the Retron 77 market with an actual working cartridge slot and compatibility with all carts and devices. An actual HDMI 2600 is really all we're missing today. If it isn't right for AtGames, hopefully some company will see potential.
  3. It was fun to play a couple times. Once you figure it out, it doesn't have much replay value. If you're a fan of the movie, you should get it.
  4. Megamania 3/A/B = 26,250 I'm really enjoying this season of trying games on harder settings. Having said that, I couldn't get my mojo back on Laser Blast, so won't be getting a bonus. Don't feel bad Skippy, I couldn't even get to 1,000 after a half hour of trying. ?
  5. Fast Food = 1,733 A simple game, but addicting and fun.
  6. Game 6/A/B one life = 69,026 Right after the score above I cleared the next level and it went to Howard's initials and I couldn't get it to continue on, so it seemed like a good place to stop since my hand was getting really cramped.
  7. For the bonus: A Beefsteak Tomato from Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes.
  8. Just like in real life, I've never been good at skiing. Skiing = 1:37.10 Winter Games / Downhill = 1:05.9
  9. Maybe this was originally going to be a licensed game based on a movie like "The Deep". There are quite a few scuba diving movies pre-1983, but I couldn't quite find one that matched perfectly to the game play. Another possibility since Warner owned DC comics, is that this was supposed to be Aquaman. This would explain the mermaid, but not why you can only breathe air or why the sea creatures are attacking you. I think Warner also had some ownership of the Man from Atlantis TV series.
  10. Although I'm not very good at twitch games, I do appreciate that it doesn't take a big time commitment. This game also has that "just one more time" fun factor. x 4 = 2,820 x 8 = 920
  11. Haven't played this one much so looked through the manual and set a goal to get to the patch score. The game gets kind of frantic, but reading the instructions really helped, as it usually does. Score = 57,970 Bonus = 1 zero
  12. I ordered the Froggo games from an ad in a magazine. It might have been Funcoland, I'd have to look through old magazines to be sure. The hardest ones were the super late Atari games like Alien Brigade and Ninja Golf that I only found in a Radio Shack catalogue. Edit: I took a look at some Atariage magazines from 1989 and I'm pretty sure I got the Froggo games from a place called BRE Software in Fresno California.
  13. Because of the video game crash that happened a couple years earlier, I ended up buying every game released for the 7800. I didn't want to end up missing out like I had with many 2600 games. I mostly bought games from the big box toy stores. There were a few mail order only ones and a few I could only get through Radio Shack.
  14. I still don't have a NES. Like TrekMD I bought a 7800 and went to college.
  15. Xenophobe = 143,525 I just used a run and gun technique of speeding through shooting everything not a bowling ball and grabbing all the trinkets. I eventually got ambushed by a couple of the big guys after losing the shotgun.
  16. Vocelli, Looks like my Klax score is in the Fatal Run list. I'm working on a score for that one next, maybe later today. Edited to add Fatal Run score: Fatal Run 20,670
  17. Klax = 27,815 I once stayed up all night playing this game on the Lynx. I don't have the endurance or patience for those kind of runs anymore, so this will have to do. I might give it another try later.
  18. Gravitar Game 1 = 7,800 Game 5 = 79,900 I'm not sure I ever knew there was a no gravity game mode. Much easier until I hit the invisible walls levels and got wiped out quickly.
  19. Road Runner = 65,300 Another fairly fun game I never really played when it was new.
  20. My finger hurts, but I managed to get the 1st round TKO.
  21. Asteroids 33,360 Galaxian 13,930 I'm enjoying playing these games on settings that are harder than what I did back in the day.
  22. It's not actually running 2600 roms, it's really more about nostalgia. Here is a youtube video I found that goes through all the games included:
