    Used a real joystick and finally got through all the screens on Spike's Peak. Managed improvements for all 3 games. Spike's Peak = 34,050 Mountain King = 17,025 California Games / BMX = 23,180

    This probably isn't going to be a very good round for me. I own Spike's Peak and don't think I've every gone beyond the second screen. I gave it a quick play and couldn't figure out the controls as the Joystick didn't seem to do anything. Will try again later on a different set up. Mountain King 3,385 California Games BMX = 14,470

    I spent all my time having fun with Pitfall II and working to beat my old personal best of 192k, which I did. The other two just aren't as much fun. Pitfall II = 199,000 Congo Bongo = 5,460 Jungle Hunt = 6,800

    Just remember to order the right adapter to connect to the PAL socket. I had to go to Ebay to find a PAL male to RCA female for a reasonable price. Once that arrives, I can see if this device will work with my original 2600.

    Thanks to someone up thread for the answer. You have to crouch down with the gun at the edge of the train car. As soon as you shoot, release the joystick and push the button. You should be able to jump the ricochet. It takes 5 hits.

    I'm scratching my head trying to figure out where the extra 15 stars are also. The leader board has 7 people over the max of 80 and 2 at 95, so there is something missing. Collecting the gold bars didn't seem to do anything, which seemed odd. I also found that if you drop all the hamburgers in the chameleon hatch, the game will end, so hold on to one if you aren't ready to quit.

    Is there anyway past the machine gun clown besides the glider? I've made it to 71 stars so far and took a picture of the leader board at 6th place, since I probably won't be there for long once the experts start playing.

    I figured out the whack-a-clown: A star is earned for every two clowns you hit with a frown. If you hit 8 without wrong swings, you get the 5th star. There's no time limit, so just be patient. Now I just need to figure out how to get past the bunsen burner. I also accidentally ran into a snake and got 3 stars. Think of the old saying about coral snakes.

    Does anyone know if you can get the white key from the bird that is flying? I don't remember exactly when it appeared, but jumping to grab it did nothing and it eventually just scrolled off the convoy and disappeared.

    Thanks for the tips, I was hoping there was a thread to talk full spoilers. Any idea on how to get the fifth star on the whack a clown stage? Once I figured out the frown vs smile I got 4. Jump on the giraffe's head till he disappears for a prize.

    Received the collector version with the patch yesterday. Do we need to do the in game registration process? I thought it was automatically registered when we ordered.

    Just got my shipping notice and downloaded the ROM. I may have to wait for the manual or watch a video ? to figure out how to get past the first truck. Hopefully we can rename the ROM without causing some error as the default personalized name makes it hard to find in an alphabetical list.
