    Had a bad scare last evening. My mother was doubled-over in pain and passed out. Thank God she is fine today, but last night was terrible. She arrived at the ER about 7pm last night (I arrived by car roughly a half hour after her).

     

    Boy, the quality of Hospitals today are terrible. They were severely understaffed and they were sloooow. None of us (family that attended for morale support, including myself along with my mother) didn’t get home until 5:30am the next day.

     

    Luckily her situation wasn’t serious and it was a slightly inflamed colon from eating something that didn’t agree with her.

     

    I’m up for the day with less than 3hrs of sleep under my belt. I just thank God my mother is healthy and doing well.

     

    So if you’ve sent me some private messages and I haven’t yet - please know that I will as soon as I can.

    Got a kidney stone. Excruciating pain led to the ER yesterday. on meds now, minimal pain. just waiting for it to pass

      I've had that. That hurts hugely. It is like a knife in your side. Drink lots of water and take your meds. You will get through it.

      Thrift stores are great places to find movies for $2-3. Then you just rip them and use Plex to watch them on tv.

    Our cat just had seven kittens! We think there is an 8th.

      There only ended up being seven. We think the extra movement was just heartburn or gas.  Momma and the kittens are doing well. Now I need names besides the 7 dwarfs.

      We foster and socialize cats & kittens for the no kill animal shelter. The kittens and mom will be fixed and given their shots and put up for adoption.

    K so, bought the 3 movie bluray of ghostbusters today. now I've watched the 1st one a dozen times...but I just noticed in a crowd scene bloody Ron Jeremy. Must've been a fluke becus his name wasn't in the credits

    FedEx sure likes to mark a lot of things as "delivered" when it wasn't.

      I've found FedEx delivery dates are typically a week off. They will just start to ship from across the country a day before the delivery date. It typically sits for a week before it moves in circles. I once saw them send a package out of state and back for a sender address that was ten minutes away.

      We foster cats and kittens for the local no kill animal shelter. We take care of them and socialize them. They get use to other animals. The shelter fixes and vacinates them. We get really busy during kitten season.

    What I learned in retail:

    "Out of stock" to customers really means "I have it in the back but I don't want to sell it to you..."

      What's even worse in when they do have it in stock but won't go to back and get it because of some sell on date. I've even seen stuff on the shelves but the cashier won't take your money.

    I've finally gotten my "Tony Stark" basement room done and I'm ready to start putting some home automation control down there. Can't decide whether to press my 400 or 800XL into service for that role.

    I don't feel sorry for companies complaining about supply chain issues. Tis' their problem for building a house-of-cards JIT network. Their problem for outsourcing. And they don't give a shit, they just raise prices to make YOU pay for their mistakes. So fuck'em all! Fuck'em hard!
