Nope. But daughter received a late Christmas card that was addressed to a previous tenant yesterday. She was about to tear it up and bin it but it was tougher than most cards. She opened it up and there was a cheque for £100 inside. So she's trying to get it to the intended recipient.

if you have a dispute with a vendor (which I have on occasion) they just put through what they like, hard to stop so just give no access. neither is a great choice .

You might be surprised at how many children you're sharing the theater with. Most parents take their kids to early morning shows to avoid bothering others. At 8:30 you might avoid that, but even by 10:00 (the first showing my local theater has) it was wall to wall kids. although they were better behaved than the adults...

Saw it at 10am today, my company bought our whole team tickets to the movie and lunch afterwards. Much better than other team building events!

I grew tired of movie theaters some years back, after seeing one-too-many films that were projected badly in a crappy theater. After that, I'd only go to really well run/maintained theaters (ArcLight, Dolby Cinema), and then only rarely (usually for big-screen blockbusters). There aren't any good theaters nearby, and they charge more, so it just became too much of a hassle even before the pandemic.

(pre covid) The night before the last Avengers movie, I had bought the only seat so far for the showing, right in the middle.  Paired recliner seats, which clearly show as pairs on the website.

I get to my seat and there is an entire family of 5 in the row, with someone in my seat.   I get there, show my ticket, and the mom makes her kid move out of my seat, and I would have sat next to her in the paired seat.  I think I said out loud "Are you fucking kidding me?"  Moved down one row where nobody was.  What the hell is wrong with people?

I tend to go to movies for the "Rocky Horror" experience myself.  So the clapping, the reactions, the shared experience.   And the popcorn, my wife likes the popcorn.

I'm going at 8:00 PM tonight. At the CinéBistro, with a nice drink and a fancy meal.

Yep, I've got the Atari handheld. I replaced the LEDs with different colors that match the colors of the buttons, which looks a lot better (to me).

I played that a few nights ago. But just for about 10 minutes, then I had to stop due to exhaustion.
