  1. It actually wasn't listed as free shipping. It was $3.99 + $6.00 "economy" shipping. But, it might have been one of those instances where it was cheaper to send Piority instead of Parcel. I'm sure he was expecting it to fetch more, as they usually go for about $15 +/- shipped.
  2. I just picked up a set off eBay for $10 shipped. It cost the seller $9.40 to ship them via Priority, so I don't know how he made any money. But anyway, they worked really well, and only one had slight jitter issues. But there are a few tech write-ups that explain how to take them apart (super-simple) and clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol to get rid of the grease build-up.
  3. Then I'm moving to WI and buying myself a pricing gun.
  4. Interesting, as the police are there to protect the public, not enforce pricing mistakes. Also, what keeps customers from sticking prices on an item that they took off another item? Are you sure you aren't getting confused with bait-and-switch?
  5. Well even if this is true, which I have a hard time believing that it is, they can refuse to sell it to you. Have you ever seen the signs that say "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone"? As long as they don't refuse to sell it to you based on race, religion, sexual orientation, etc., all they have to do is pull it from the shelf and change the price. Pricing mistakes happen all the time, and from my understanding, companies aren't required to honor them. Do you really think the police are going to come and force the company to sell it to you at that price?
  6. I guess the sale doesn't exist as I was refunded my payment. BTW, closing out the conversation, therefore giving me no way to reply to you, is the only reason for posting here. Sorry we weren't able to strike a deal. If you change your mind, let me know.
  7. Will take those Atari Paddles for $10 -10% + Free Shipping. Payment incoming.
  8. I do have to ask, where are all the a/v & power cables for the systems? Did they just not come with them?
  9. I'm going to be modding my FB2 with a 2600 port soon, and was thinking about adding a power LED while it was apart. Anybody try/done this? I searched but really couldn't come up with anything.
  10. Getting the hookup from zylon. Please close thread.
  11. I mainly want to mod it with the 2600 port just for the coolness factor. To me, hiding a harmony cart inside, while making the whole idea a lot simpler, just wouldn't be as cool. I appreciate the suggestion though, as I hadn't honestly thought of that.
  12. How much to part with one? Also, does anybody know what all comes with the "kit" for $10 from best?
  13. Are you not in the states? If so, I apologize for my comment. I just know I've shipped heavier consoles for way less than $35.
  14. I inherited a used Flashback 2 system, and was thinking about modding it for 2600 play. Looking to either buy a broken 2600 or a good suggestion on where to pick up the parts for cheap. thx
  15. You should be able to ship for less. These things don't weigh a whole lot, and could probably ship Priority for around $10.
  16. Verified through a PM that this is also bobricards from CAG. According to his feedback, he made a trade with a member with 2000+ posts. So, seems legit, as sketchy as it is.
  17. Perhaps posting up some (any) references will help you. Still seems shady IMO regardless of whether or not you're willing to ship first.
  18. Thank you. I'll never understand why people think something is$xx.xx simply because somebody else is trying to get that price. Common sense tells me you have to look at completed auctions.
  19. ebay recently started charging including shipping as part as their FVF. Agreed that they should of only based their FVF on the $1.0x that was high bid and not have included shipping.
  20. Then I would adjust my price accordingly. Yes, he has stated he is "open to offers", but if you start out at a price that is too high you risk the possibility of scaring away potential buyers. People typically price things higher than what they want, because they know others will ask if they will accept a lower offer. However, if you price it too high, then people will be afraid to make offers because they'll feel they'd be low-balling compared to what they're asking. If I was unaware of what market value is on something, I would actually appreciate other peoples' input on what TMV is. Maybe that's just me... To the OP, GLWS. I hope you're able to get what you feel it's worth.
  21. By extras you mean extra battery and carrying case? Anybody can buy a non-modded unit for under $100 and mod it with ease, so I highly doubt an extra battery and case is worth $100. I purchased my boxed Daxter model off ebay for about $100 shipped, spent another $30 on a Sony branded 8gb member stick, and <$10 on Pandora battery @ dealextreme. And this was a couple years ago, and prices have fallen since. Price it how you want, but with such a high starting price, youre going to scare away potential buyers, IMO.
  22. Dont forget about www.dealextreme.com either for cheap PSP replacement parts.
  23. One of the few games I play again every few years for nostalgia.
  24. Yes, I will comment. Your friend has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. I've used both and the Move is almost dead on for accuracy, unlike the Wiimote. That being said, I still wouldn't buy Move, no matter how discounted it was, even if I did own a PS3.
