  1. How did you happen to come across 5 boxed units of a rare Japanese system in Sweden, when even people in Japan can't find them?

    Contacts! :)

I "never" lie but I really don't have time to put up this story. But beleive me, it's true. Please ask Marco Kerstens. I guess you have seen all my auctions? Didn't you buy one of my units as well?

    Maybe it was this one:

  2. >but I've never seen a boxed 2800 come up in an Ebay auction before

Strange since I have sold at least 5 boxed units the last 2 years.

    >I am surprised that no one has killed the buy it now. $750

My first sold for 500 Euro. The last one went for $300 if I remember correctly.

I think this is one of two units that I've sold privately together with a huge collection half a year ago. It was then sold to this guy I think. He is from Sweden as well as me.

  3. If you think you'll get more than what something will sell for on Ebay, you're mistaken.

Not quite true. Maybe these days but not some months ago:

Over $600 that time since two guys here took the bait. Was never out on ebay. And I know that there is possible to sell really Minty stuff on forums to collectors higher than on ebay. Neogeo.com is the proof. The buyers could also feel a little safer on forums. Ebay could be tricky too. Once I sold an item for $250. Three weeks later, $50. Damn!

  4. I have the SW game Attack on the Deathstar for the Japanese X68000. I know it's available for the Japanese PC98 (ehh?) too. I can't play it since I don't have a X68000. There is one tiny, bad picture in the manual showing what happens within the game. I can hardly see what's going on but it seems to be a little similar to the Arcade game, but I'm not sure.

    Anyone?

  5. As you all know there are some games (four so far what we know) for the Arcadia that were Japan only releases. Never released in any form in US or Europe. They are Doreamon, Dr. Slump, Macross and Gundam. Doreamon and Dr. Slump are really rare even in Japan but nothing compared to Macross or Gundam. I am most likely wrong now but what I know of, there are only two Macross and one Gundam ever found. Anyway, rare as hell. What you see on the pictures is what you get. I'm asking $350 + shipping from Sweden.

  6. @Tempest: All Japanese Vectrex games, boxes, overlays are the same as the US ones. There is only a sticker on the box and a special cart label that tells it's Japanese. However, there are two games that don't follow this. Harmagedon (Star Trek) and Scramble Wars (Scramble). They are special made with Japanese label, overlay and box. (fully integrated)Soooo coool! Soooo rare!
