  1. River Raid II was pants imo Verticle scroller with half the screen blocked off for score, fuel etc etc... they should have put that info down one side of the screen. Then it would have been a good game.
  2. You could just stick them on ebay and then they go for whazt they are worth generally.... If any rate 7 or above on the AtariAge rarity scale they will get a lot of interest generally. It's worth advertising your ebay page on this forum as well. Of course if you just type the lot and post here you will have a lot of buyers interested, I have found that everyone I have spoken to on these forums are very honest and won't try and rip you off. You should also state whether your games are ntsc(america) or pal(europe) Hope this helps.
  3. Marble madness using atari trackball controller... how cool would that be. or Lemmings.
  4. I have won a ebay auction (uk) for a loose cart called TANK MISSION (pal probably) but it is not listed on AA. I think it is an import possibly from the far east but I don't really know. Does any one else own this game or know of its existance?... it may be common but I am guessing not as it is not listed. Is it the same as another game (combat, battlezone, robot tank etc)? Is it worth anything?
  5. I just got a lynx off ebay because I really wanted to play 2 games that I really love They are Lemmings and Battlezone as these are 2 of my all time favourite games, unfortunatly they are 2 of the rarest games to get my hands on. Does anyone have any suggestions as it is unlikely they will appear on ebay (UK) in the near future....and if they did appear what sort of money are we talking about for each? Are they both good games on the lynx?

    Bump'n'Jump

its a smooth fit on the 7800 but to I'd need a hammer to stick it in the 2600, I really would need to do damage. I am guessing this is not a common problem.
  7. Lemmings, it's on the sms and lynx so why not?
  8. I have had delivered 6 games I got off ebay. To my surprize they are all shrikwrapped and brand new. Do I open them or do I not? Games are as follows and all are Pal so rarity is hard to know #1 XEVIOUS #2 HAT TRICK #3 COMMANDO #4 CHOPLIFTER #5 SUPER HUEY-IX #6 NINJA GOLF I have lots of 2500 games and only ASTEROIDS built in on my 7800... So I really want to see what it can do.... but from a collecting point of view the're more valuable sealed......maybe I should buy the same titles again on ebay (if I can find them!) What do you guys think?
  9. I was thinking about this, as I used to code in Assembler on the old Commodore64. I am a bit confused on a few issues though ?1 When coding software, how can you test it? ?2 How do you transfer it into a cartridge? (maybe that should read Who? and How much?) I don't think my asembler skill are up to the task though (never were), I also think I have forgotten more than I can remember! There must be somebody out there who is very clever and can overcome the obstacles. I would be happy to pay a premium for a Pal Homebrew (assuming it was a good game). Maybe if someone wanted the challenge we can start a thread on what 8bit games we'd all like to see most converted to the 7800 and then the programmer can try and make the most popular (i.e. will sell the most copies)

    Bump'n'Jump

Excuse my ignorance but I have only started collecting this month. I have a VCS woody and a 7800. I also have just over 50 games but one cartridge doesn't fit my VCS. Bump'n'Jump by Telegames fits the 7800 but I cannot push into the VCS. I was wondering why? The cart is in as new condition and is the sort with the board visible - i.e. no retracting dust flap. Is this a common problem?

    SVHS conector

But I don't have a VCR... only DVD. I have tried connecting the S-video cable direct to the TV (GRUNDIG E72-911-the one designed by the Porche car co.) and also through a A/V amp (DENON AVR-3802) but the results are basically the same. I tried touching the contacts on the new board to see if any resistance variables would make a difference and the picture did jump slightly differently. There are 2 main reasons I wanted to complete this modification. #1 to integrate it into my home cinema #2 the R/F varies slightly and I have to fine tune the TV every time I use it.

Yeah their both the same, but it hasn't worked, it nearly works though. I think the sync is wrong as I can just make out asteroids but the screen is diagonally rolling. I used the alternative diode 2N3904 which is a rectifier diode and not a signal diode. I will purchase an signal diode and see what happens. If it works I will email the website and explain that the alternative doesn't work. I hope this is going to work as I can then integrate my Atari into my Home Cinema set up. I just also want to say that you guys are a great help and this must be the best forum I have ever stumbled accross..... yeah I think I will stay a while.
  13. opps sorry, posted on the wrong topic

I am just attempting to convert my 7800 PAL unit to work on SVHS using the circuit which is linked from the ATARIAGE FAQ page... but after building the board I then went and looked inside my ATARI Yeah I know a bit stupid, I should have looked first Anyway my unit looks nothing like the photos on the website My 7800 is a PAL unit made in China and it has no expansion slot or any sign of one on the circuit board. HELP ME.....Does anyone know of other websites (other than the 2 found from the FAQ page) that may help me.... I am doing this project right now, so a quick reply is most appreciated. Thanks
  16. Cool, thanks for the help. I actually have SOLAR STORM from Imagic and that fits just fine and works ok.
  17. I am new to Atari collecting and have recently purchased (PAL) Atari 7800, Atari VCS and a Lynx. I am still waiting for the VCS to arrive. I am wondering if anyone knows which 2600 games do not work on the 7800 (this is a PAL set up as I am in the UK - if that makes a difference) I have a mousetrap cartridge which is new in box but when plugged into the 7800 the screen flashes white and makes a buzzing sound. I am sure someone out there knows which carts don't work.
