Maybe as you asked he IS only 10. Are we gonna hate on him just cause he hasn't hit puberty yet? as I said, I'm not about to scare ANYbody away from lovin the VCS. maybe he's just a looseminded indiviudal, but as long as he's not coming on here saying %^&* your mother, @#$% all %^ggers, and carrot top rules, I'm gonna at least let him have a say, if you don't like what he has to say, then close the thread and read the next one. but I really dont want to start a fight, so it's time for Atari Hacker to pick up for himself. But at least if he does he knows he has someone in his corner. I want everyone to love the VCS as well, I wish all the younger kids would get into retro gaming for sure But this guy is here to stir things up , if you cant see that and want to back this guy then thats fine But if he continues to post ridiculous garbage you would rather pat him on the back then point out that he is wrong?
-
Have you read all the posts this guy has made? He is a walking contradiction He has no clue what he is talking about, he just posts ridiculous claims and then when he is called out on it he says oh well its an urban legend that everyone talks about To me it seems like the guy is doing it on purpose, I mean just look at his first thread about how Pacman is so horrible and now all of the sudden he plays it for hours a day and its his favorite game? Come on
-
Are you joking? You cant be serious How old are you? 10? You base your earlier claims now that its an urban legend that people now a days say? So pretty much what your saying is that you came on this forum to spout off with ridiculous urban legends about Pacman and now your saying its your favorite game that you play for hours non stop? Every thread you have started has made me shake my head

I am so pissed! In the 4th quarter I scored 3 times and had 3 INTs and was rolling! There were 10 seconds left and I kicked off, I got the returner and there were 5 seconds left Denver ran a running play and my defender missed the runner and he took off running super fast and ran 80 yards for the TD with no time on the clock! I was in shock! I couldnt believe it! I almost threw my controler! (lol if I was 12 years old I would have launched it) So instead of being tied for the lead with 63 points now this game is for nothing! And if I would have scored twice in the 3rd quarter I would have been still tied! So frustrating
-
Making the INT on defense is the key to the whole game Of course scoring quickly on offense is important but you have to get that ball back right away

Intellivision - You've helped me stop hating it so much
AlvinKarpis replied to Lendorien's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Thats great that you changed your mind, I almost didnt get my INTV, im so glad that I did, I bought it with a ColecoVision with the thought that I would play my CV all the time and when I got bored I would fire up my INTV I was so wrong, my CV gets played like one a week (if that) and my INTV gets played daily I love it, I also got lucky and Boxpressed hooked me up with a ton of games and I won a huge lot of great games off Ebay Let me try and give you my thoughts on some of the games you and I both own Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: This game is not my cup of tea, however I can see how amazing it is for an Adventure type game Armor Battle: Its a little hard to get the controlls down, but once I did this game offers so much more then 2600 Combat Astrosmash: Great game, so much fun as a fast paced shooter, to me its Space Invaders and Demon Attack rolled into one Auto Racing: I still have trouble with the controls, I have read that once you get them down the game is fun B-17 Bomber: By far the best Intellivoice game, so much depth and replay value, just a great overall game, I have always wanted a game like 1942 with more depth Backgammon: Dont own it Beauty & the Beast: A great game thats like Donkey Kong, when I want a quick fun game I always reach for Beauty and the Beast Bomb Squad: The second best Intellivoice game, the games take a long time and lack action, but sometimes when im in that mood for a long thinking game Bomb Squad works everytime Bowling: The best Bowling game ever, I love this game, its perfect, in my top 5 for sure Boxing: I dont like it, I have tried and tried and gave it a fair chance Burgertime: I dont own the CV version (which I heard is good), but for me this is the best port by far of Burgertime, im sure it helps that I have always loved the arcade version and the 7-11 by my house had Burgertime for years in the 80s. I play BT alot Centipede: A very playable port for sure Checkers: I own it but only played it to make sure it worked, its checkers so for that I have no complaints Demon Attack: I like this version better then the 2600 version, for some reason I have had problems where I seem to get stuck and have to let up on the disc and push down again to get moving again, its weird because my controllers dont do that in other games Donkey Kong: Ok this is a horrible port, however, I have played it alot trying to break 100k (which I have done many times) and I actually started to enjoy playing it! In fact the last time I played I had a great time scoring like 60k on my last life Horse Racing: Played it once and took me forever to get the race started (yes I read the instructions) I wish you had more control of the horse Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack: Played it once to made sure it woked, very easy to play and straight forward, its just not my kind of game, if I want to play cards I will play for real Lock 'n' Chase: Have only played a couple times and just didnt get into it Major League Baseball: I own the later INTV version so I can play the computer, and its awesome, great old school sports game Math Fun: Dont own it Microsurgeon: At first I was blown away and loved it! But it gets boring fast NASL Soccer: Not bad, I just wish the players moved faster NBA Basketball: Just like Baseball I own the INTV release and its awesome! So much depth, so much fun, I love hitting the outside set shot! NFL Football: Again I own the later INTV release as well as the original, I like Baseball and Basketball better because they are easier to pick up and play, plus im such a huge Tecmo Bowl fan and play that all the time still so its not fair to this game, but for what it is I think its good NHL Hockey: I dont like Hockey in real life and I dont like Hockey on the INTV Night Stalker: I like this game, its like Berzerk to me, its just to slow, if the game play was faster I would like it alot more PGA Golf: I dont like Golf, so I have only played this once to make sure it worked, so I dont have an opinion on it Reversi: My mom and her friends played Othello all the time, I never got into it, so I played this once to make sure it works, like checkers the game works like the real thing, its just not something that I want to play Sea Battle: I love it! Awesome game, these are the kind of in depth games I would have loved to played back in the day had I owned an INTV back in the day Snafu: My favorite 2 player INTV game, my wifes favorite game on the INTV, she loves playing me and we have fun trapping each other and talking smack (loving smack, not the kind of smack my friends and I use lol) Space Armada: I dont know about this game, I love Space Invaders on the 2600, playing this game just feels akward, I dont know how to explain it Space Battle: Im not feeling it, this game is pretty boring to me, its not bad, its just not something I like Space Hawk: I dont like this game, I hve played it at least 10 times and everytime I play it I just dont like it Space Spartans: Just like Space Battle, the Intellivoice is cool, but this game is just plain to me Tron Deadly Discs: Yes! My favorite game by far on the INTV, I have scored over 2 million and love every second of this game, taking out the Recognizer is the best. Amazing game, remember to play with two controllers, using the first controller to move and the second one to fire, it gives the game a Robotron like feeling. Tron Maze-A-Tron: This game pisses me off so bad, I like it! I have no idea how or why I like it but I do, its a hard and confusing game, I think am just hell bent on understanding this game, this is my challange game U.S. Ski Team Skiing: Great game, so much fun, like Beauty and the Beast when I want a fun quick game I reach for this one. I love it Vectron: I have read the instructions, tried very hard to get into this game and I just cant, games like this that have a bad rep I always try to look beyond that and play the game and give it an honest chance, but this game is just too weird, I still want to keep trying on this one and I will, but for now its just to weird Word Fun: I dont own it -
The real cause of the 1983 video game crash
AlvinKarpis replied to Atari Hacker's topic in Atari 2600
I remember the huge bins of games for $5.00 at Kay-Bee Toys in the mid 80s I also remember the Activision games were still behind the counter and more expensive My mom would always tell me to look through the $5.00 bins but I would always tell her no, I would rather have one copy of Kaboom! or Freeway then five copies of games that I knew I would hate after getting home and playing them Even as a kid I knew this I had no clue that there was a crash either, my thought process was that Kay-Bee or Toys R Us had bought way to many games for X-mas and had to mark them down to sell them It was just like the Video Rental stores that would have blowout sales and sell the VHS tapes that they had many copies of for like $20 (remember this was back when a VHS movie would cost like $89.99) which was great because everybody rented back then, so being able to buy your favorite movie for $20 was great Thats how I thought it was for Kay-Bee and Toys R Us, they were just trying to sell off extra inventory Of course from 84 to 86 (I got my NES January of 87) time was a blur, so it wasnt like it took forever for the NES to come along and blow me away Then it was back to paying $49.99+ for games, im sure my dad hated it, but my mom didnt care, she always bought us the games we asked for (for Easter, X-mas and Birthdays, I was lucky to have two brothers who like me always asked for games) So yes like the others I hd no clue there was a video game crash, there were games all over the toy stores back then -

Wait a second You have claimed more then once that Pacman was an "unfinished prototype" Now you saying that "Pacman was just having hardware limitation problems, the Atari wasn't strong enough to handle arcade perfect games" Which one is it? It seems like all the posts you make you are trying to stir something up -

Who cares about an AV mod? Get a coaxial adapter and if you need to an old TV and your rocking None of my systems are AV modded and they never will be, they just dont need to be, no reason at all The picture on my ColecoVision looks amazing My Intellivision comes in crystal clear My 2600 is a vision of perfection -
Wow! Chris is right scoring three TDs in a quarter twice is amazing Now im going to have to use SF and hope that Ronnie Lott can rack up some serious INTs
-
I have never seen a TV that has an RF plug that would accept the Atari cable alone either
-
I am so pissed that I let Miami score! Marino to Duper At least I blocked the extra point Score: 66-6 Points: 60
-
Score: 52-0 Points: 52
-
I have never seen it either, and it was pretty cool, I was like wow I need to take a picture because I doubt I will ever see this again
-
I was up 42-0 and was driving to score another TD when this happened! The screen started glitching and then went to this I guess I was just to much for the Miami Dolphins to handle
-
yes, you know how i know that? because of the title on the box game and manual. He means your acting like you found a copy of Air Raid i know i caught on to the sarcasm So are you trying to be sarcastic by posting yet another thread for this game? You couldnt post questions about the manual in the 1,746 other threads that you have started about Spikes Peak? This is what is turning off members to your game, everything you have done to go about selling this game has been wrong

Why have you started so many threads in so many places about the same thing? http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/189792-spikes-peak-cib-up-on-ebay/page__p__2400575?do=findComment&comment=2400575 http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/189769-for-sale-spikes-peak-complete-boxed/page__p__2400237?do=findComment&comment=2400237 http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/189747-heres-what-i-have/page__p__2399857?do=findComment&comment=2399857 You sure are trying really hard to push this game I would love to see the offer for $150.00, I seriously doubt that -
Why do you keep saying that? It was not released as an unfinished prototype

That is the spare one. lol I would rub it in as well (in fact when I catch up to you and Cmart im sure I will ) Wow, you are jumping in head first arent you!!! Are you sure you want to go down the variation collecting road!!! it is a long and never ending road...... My dad always told me, dont do something unless you plan on doing it right Do you really plan on owning like 10 different versions of donkey Kong and maybe 6 different versions of Burgertime like me and Cmart? Hell no The way I collect is to hard to put into words My wife says im half way between insane and stupid, so I guess thats how to explain it If you were at my house it would take me weeks to show you everything that I have collected since I was a kid
